Yesterday I am alarmed because of the siren of fire tracks. There is a fire in one of the barangay here in Baguio, but I was really shock when I got home at 7pm when I saw that one side of mt. Sto tomas is burning.until this afternoon the fire is still there and almost cross the other mountain near by It was so sad that to tell that this is the only forest that we have in mt. Sto tomas this is the only part of the mountain that was not tilted by farmers and has trees.Unique trees that during summer the leaves turn into light pink which you can see far in a distance. Now no more.

This is so sad to know. I just got back from Baguio last weekend during Panagbenga and was even disappointed because the place was overrun by tourists. I have never visited Mt. Sto Tomas and it is such a shame that something I have never seen, I will never have the chance to see.

Was the forest totally burnt? How about the fire trucks? Weren't they able to do anything about it? El Nino is getting worse. It's so hot everywhere and the heat of the sun is really burning. I even thought that it's a bit cooler there in Baguio compared here in Manila.

yes I think Baguio temperature is cooler than in Manila but still the temperature is hot.No just part of the mountain is burn.Fire trucks cannot do anything because they cannot get inside the mountain. There is no road.
