anne25penn responded to a discussion called Have you ever purchased a furniture item that requires assembly? in shopping.
All of my cabinets and shelves are knock downs or require assembly when I first bought them. Even my dining set can be dismantled and my bed. I guess the only furniture in the house that I didn't assemble is my couch and the electrical appliances[em]lol[/em]. I never found it hard to assemble my furniture. Maybe it's because I grew up in a Lego environment and I love creating things from scratc...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called Haveing headaches? in health.
For two days now I have been experiencing mild to really painful headaches. I think it has a lot to do with the weather here in my country because it would be scorching by midday, then rain torrents by four or five in the afternoon which suddenly drops the temperatures. I don't want to drink any pain pills even if this headache is bothering my sleep. I am not a fan of over the counter drugs, bu...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called have you ever eaten an eel? in eating.
I have never tried eel too, but I know that it is a delicacy even in some countries. I would also never try eating eel, because I do have food allergies. This is one of the reasons why I don't really enjoy company outings that are done in the beach because people would fawn over all the seafood they can get while I am miserably chewing on coconut meat because I can't eat the food that they are ...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called Jessica got me disappointed tonight.. in american idol.
I stopped watching AI ever since Adam Lambert wasn't chosen as a winner even though everyone could see that he was a better performer than Kris Allen. Even Ryan Seacrest was disappointed with the results and even predicted that in less than a year people will forget Kris Allen, which became true even if Adam tried his best to lay low to give way to the AI winner. So even if Philip Philips win t...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called A Mylotter Friend Visited Me Yesterday at Home :) in friend.
I haven't had the chance to meet my friends here in Mylot. But I do have some online friends that I have met in person and they have become good friends over the years. I do hope to meet some of the friends I have here, but maybe not now because my schedule is a bit hectic.

anne25penn responded to a discussion called What Vegetable your not getting tired of eating..? in questions & answers.
I will never tire of eating tomatoes. Tomatoes are part of my basic food groups and whenever I do grocery shopping, I never fail to buy some even when it is out of season here in my country and expensive. I also tend to buy the more expensive kind because some of the cheap ones aren't that good. I love to use tomatoes for sauteing, but I also prefer to eat them as is with just a little salt. ...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called Can 65 be equal to 25? in life.
It's hard to change the mind set of elderly people, especially our parents. I don't think it was a good idea for the son to persist in insisting that everything will be okay once his father starts thinking about life in a positive light. The son should have just respected how his father felt. Everyone is entitled to how they view life. I know the son has good intentions, but I don't think the f...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called I have my own reasons in religion.
Like you I was born and raised as a Catholic but now I no longer attend church or mass. I prefer to go to an empty church and pray, rather than attend mass where you can't even breathe with the throng of people. There are so many distractions and with a huge crowd, most of the time the mass is no longer solemn. You would hear the giggles and chatting of younger people. I mean, if you wanted to ...

anne25penn responded to a discussion called to old to be a "texter"? in texting.
i don't think people should put an age when it comes to technology. Texting is for all ages. But my age always comes up whenever I construct text messages because I still spell out the whole word unlike so many people. I just can't seem to get the hang of abbreviating words and I can place the blame on my high school English teacher who refused to accept any of our work whenever we would abbrev...

anne25penn received a best response in the discussion got a couple of vacation spots that i've been eyeing to visit this year... by allen0187.

I would like to add to your list Batad in the Cordilleras. There is no way in to the village, except to trek it for an hour and the same goes when you need to leave the village. It is one of the five UNESCO heritage sites of the rice terraces and is in danger of being obliterated because the new generation of Ifugaos no longer want to till the land. There are no first class resorts here. The ba...

I thought I was safe from a troll

In my thirteen years of online life, I have never been attacked by a troll because as much as possible I stay away from them once I detect that they are trollish. But yesterday had me in for a shock...

The Pain of Getting an NBI Clearance
