Ok, so its International Women's Day tommorow. I hear my mother braging about it all the time because at the same day a colegue of her (also a woman) has a birthday. So she is braging about how will it look like that a woman on 8th buys flowers and gives it to another woman. She says that women shoudn`t give flower to women in the 8th of march. So what do you think: Should women give flowers and congratulate other women in International Women's Day? And why?

I think that on the 8th of March it's men's mission to give flowers to women. Women just have to relax and enjoy the show and not to bother themselves with giving flowers away to each-other too. It would look really weird in my opinion. I think that if your mother wants to congratulate her colleague on her birthday, it would be wise to buy a box of candies or some other present, but not the flowers.

I don't think there's anything wrong with giving flowers. It's quite common in the US for daughters to give their mother flowers on Mother's Day or on her birthday or even on Valentine's Day, for instance. (International Women's Day isn't a commonly celebrated holiday over here.) The giving of flowers doesn't have to have romantic connotations...sometimes it's just something meant to make a person feel good.

I think I should do that especially to those girls in my family, my mother and my sister, though my mother is not with me right now, I will greet her and have an email of flower so it will be like a real flower.lol. I will give flower to my sister as a recognition of being a good mom to her children and also to my child. I will thank her for everything that she did for our family.
