The good news is he will probably out grow alot of this behavior. He is still a puppy and just wants to let you know how much he loves you. Things you can do to help reverse the behavior are when he jumps on you turn your back to him. He will soon realize that you do not like that behavior and he does not get the attention that he is wanting. If this does not work then you should put him in his kennel for a time-out. Also have you had him neutered? If you are planning on doing so the sooner the better. This often calms a dog down.

I was in the same situation as you. When my maltese was 1 he was CRAZY. He kept barking at every little sound he heard and jumped on all of our guests. I don't really know any specific advice for your dog, but I just took him on walks and played with him. I mostly stuck to games like fetch where I didn't have to do as much running. What I found helped was teaching him tricks and obedience. My dog is really food motivated so I was able to teach him a lot of tricks. I noticed that after I taught him tricks, he became a bit more focused on me. Maybe you can try that? Now my dog is 3 and he's way more mellow. He is actually walking up to me and sitting on my lap as I watch tv which is nice. Good luck!
