'movies are the mirror of society'- do you agree with the statement?

hi. there is always a debate about the role of movies in our life. some say , movies are the mirror of society. whatever is happening in the society(crime,corruption,etc) is depicted in movies. some will disagree. they think, society is affected by movies. change in values, trends,westernisation, etc are the result of movies. what are your views?

hi ksmita I do think that a lot of movies do give a totally wrong perception
of us Americans. a lot of people from other countries think we are all immoral, depraved, and drink all the time, and all have million dollar mansions and a huge bank account. they are so wrong, they do not show the average american who is working hard just to pay rent and utilities and buy food for his or her f amily. So only a few of the ve ry top ones mirror our socity at all, most make us out to be far different from what the average American really is.

Yaa sometime this statement is true.. because movies show us how to fight with situations.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..
