Hello my friends here in mylot.I am a teacher by profession and in my experience,I could say that teaching youngsters is the one which I prefer more.I feel so happy when I'm surrounded by these little angels who are so innocent, so honest,so vibrant, happy and definitely lovable.I like it most when they give all their attention when I tell them stories. It makes me glad to see them laughing loud when I crack even simple jokes.I feel touched by them when they openly show their affection to me.Truly,I could say that they are like angels here on earth. And teaching them is so much fun.I wonder how many of you here would prefer teaching kids or adults.Enjoy!

Adults. It is very difficult to teach young kids because it's hard for them to sit and listen, and sometimes it takes them a while to understand simple things.

hi! well, I don't know much about the teaching at all, but my cousin is a teacher and I know from him that it is better to teach the youngsters, because the older ones are really more wanton and with less will to learn something new. the stress is also bigger. and I really like kids and think that if i were a teacher I will feel myself much better with students in the 3-5 grade, which are really still to young to do the foolish things their older schoolmates do

I would want to teach younger ones. I love working with children of all ages but i have so much fun working with 5-10 year olds. They have such imaginations and come up with interestng answers to everything. Their way of thinking is so inncent that I would rather teach them than adults who would have such attitudes.

hello dragonangel, nice discussion. I will definitely like to teach small children, preferably from standard 1st up to standard 5th........Children at this age are innocent and obedient and we can control them with our care and little strictness. Also if we shower little love on children, they feel so happy and make you also happy. It is fun to teach children. To teach adults will be like a nightmare for me.....because all adults think they are too smart.......there will be too many strange questions, too much arguments and too much criticism......so ..like you , I will also like to teach these little angels who spread happiness.

hi dragonangel. if we love teaching, then i think it is equally rewarding whether we teach young kids, youngsters or even adults. what matters here is the approach that we would use to teach each of these categories. while kids may enjoy and learn more through play and adults through research and discussions, youngsters, on the other hand may demand a combination between these extremes. most of us are our children's teachers besides being mothers and fathers. and as they go through life from babies to adults, mothers and fathers never stop teaching either. i would love to teach the youngsters or the teenagers most of whom, if not all, are at the crossroads of their lives. " which is the best path to take next " is sometimes clouded with fantasies, merry-making and empty promises. giving them guiding hands to make an informed decision so that they wouldn't regret for the rest their lives. make them see choices that could eventually help them lead an independent, sustainable and meaningful lives.

I am not a teacher by profession, but I am my kids 1st teacher before they go to school. I enjoyed telling them stories that my father have shared to us when we were kids,I enjoyed teaching them different things like keeping the mess in the house, tooth brushing, and etc. and I am happy that as early as there age now they are aware about a lot of things. And it is fulfilling for a mom like me to see her kids grow with strong disposition & confidence. Now, I am not afraid to set them free in a much wider world for them to acquire more ideas.

I really am a true believer that it is fulfilling to teach younger kids than old ones already. As a mother I have taught my son back when he was learning to walk and crawl. Thus, for me it is better to teach youngersters because they have the heart to learn instead of older people.

Well, I am a teacher too, but on the opposite, I have only taught to adults . I don`t like kids much, and, even if your kids sound really lovely, and I`m happy for you, the ones I know are usually noisy, disrespectful and really lazy. Adults usually take the study more seriously, maybe because their brains are less receptive because of the age so they need to focus more, so I prefer adults.

I have always wondered waht it would be like to be a teacher- when I was a kid "teacher" was one of my favorite things to pretend to be, lol. ^-^ I think I would like to be a teacher, an English teacher more specifically, for high school students. I love writing and reading, and I think it would be fun to relate to young adults that can understand and have more complex ideas.

If I were a teacher I would go from one extreme to the other. I would want to either teach the really young kids who are full of fun, energy and enthusiasm, or the adults who are in the classes because they have chosen to be and because they want to learn. I would hate to have to teach anyone in between those two ages simply because I believe they can be far to disruptive and disrespectful of elders. I don't think I could keep my cool in a classroom situation like that.

I love teaching children over adults. As John Piaget theorized "Early Foundation is Critical". As much as I would want to, I want to lead these children properly as they are still on the early stages. Besides that, they are still on their way of being obedient with anything they hear from their elders. Seeing children being disciplined as early as possible is one way I think that can solve the decreasing quality of morality among many. There is a must and need to change some things which I find unlikely in the society. I hope too that one day, I would see myself as one of those people who could help best in making this dream possible by teaching children the proper morality they need.

Adults. Some kids just don't sit still or stop talking to each other.

I think it depends on your capabilities and your skills plus your patience. I am qualified to teach in both the primary and secondary sector. I had teaching practises in both. However when I had the chance I opted to teach in a secondary school. I feel much more confident teacher 11 years onwards, especially the 15/6year olds. You can reason out things with them. They are starting to get mature, thinking about life decisions, what they are going to do in their future. Since I teach IT I also have the opportunity to teach adults. I do prefer to teach adults. The main reason is that they are more grateful than youngsters. They are more receptive and willing to learn. They participate more in class. They are more respectful.

I went to university to do teacher training along side my degree. I learned how to teach 3 to 8 year old children. My favorite age to teach is Year 2, in that the children are 6 to 7 years old. I also really like teaching Year 1, in that the children are 5 to 6 years old. I have often thought that I would make an excellent lecturer at further education college in Travel and Tourism. I am an experienced traveler and would get ion well teaching 16 to 18 year olds. I think that it would be enjoyable but challenging to teach English, that is Literacy, with secondary school students. They are aged 11 to 16 years old.

Hello dragonangel! I am not sure to whom I would prefer to teach more. The cuteness factor of the children would be a plus, and I'd love to read them stories. I'm going to go with teaching children.

I taught for a little while to 5-6 year olds. It was hard to get their attention but when I had it was great. They are so engaged and awed by the simplest things. It really makes me think about the world in a different way. Adults on the other hand are harder to convince and questions are more philosophical than practical at times. Kids are just easier and more enjoyable.

Hmm, what if I was a teacher? I have no idea if that is something I would even consider touching. I can get along with people fine enough but not to the extent of what teachers have to do. I have far more respect for teachers the more I think about what they have to put up with on a day to day basis, and the stress levels have to be through the roof. However, let's just disregard all of that for a second and think about who I would rather teach. I think children might be fun, for a time or two. However, only just for a couple of times. Dealing with fifteen or twenty children on a regular basis might not be something that I think I would want to deal with all of the time. For those who do, I salute you but I certainly would not make it a career choice and something that I would do on a regular basis. Like I said, maybe once or twice just to see what it would be like. Adults would be much easier. It is just pretty much straight to business. Well at least in theory. There are some adults that are less mature than a lot of the younger children. As I said, teaching would never be my thing, but adults just barely over children. Children just have too much of an unpredictable value to them. Which can be good or bad, really depending on how well you can interact with them. Still in the end, I doubt I would be teaching any time soon for the reasons I stated. Dealing with many adults in the real world is something that can cause a little bit of stress to begin with. So adults over children in teaching but if I had a choice between teaching and not teaching, then it would be not teaching. Still, it is amusing to think about, even if it was a brief second.

I've always enjoyed being with children, seeing their laughter touches my heart and whenever i am with them, it gives me this heavenly feeling. They are so innocent and just adorable angels, they are easiest people to talk to and when you talk to them and hearing their unique ideas are just so peaceful. So if i were to teach, I would definitely prefer to teach the babies.
