Obama is not going to be a miracle worker. It took Bush all of eight years to create the mess we are in. It will take another eight or more to fix it. I wouldn't judge why they were taking pictures together. It could be for a very good cause. Maybe they were invited to the White House just like any other visiter. I don't see the problem at all.

As fun as that thought is, Bush sis not create the mess in 8 years, these are problems that have been brewing for decades. By the way, since when does a President make these decisions? He can not spend a penny that is all Congress.

He's just trying to connect with people who can communicate to younger people. Tony Blair did the same here when he invited all the pop stars who were big at the time to big parties in Downing Street. Also, it doesn't hurt people like Jay-Z and Beyonce to be seen hanging out with someone cool like Obama. It's mutual credibility thing.

You're right that it is to appeal to younger people and I'm sure it will work to some degree. I don't think he'll be getting any credibility with more educated people by hanging out with a racist like Jay Z though.

I am glad you are starting to see the Hollywood in his eyes. He has decided that he is a celebrity and people are trying to make it so. He needs to drop that crap and work on inspiring Americans. Tighten the fiscal belt. Time will tell.

It's what he does. He isn't a president, he's trying to be a populist celebrity hero. I still can't believe the number of people who voted for him that now seem to be comming out of the wood work and are genuinely suprised by all this. The man cannot fix things because he not only wore the wrong uniform, he brought the wrong tool box. There is almost nothing constitutionaly redeeming about his agenda, his ideology or his philosophy of governance. Under all that glitter was just another authoritarian establishment politician. CHANGE! .....pffft....puh-LEASE.
