Have you ever locked yourself outside?

Hi, friends. This may sound wierd but it did happen to just this afternoon. Well, it goes like this. This afternoon, i went out to the courtyard without taking keys with me to get something i needed for cooking dinner. As i went out, the door locked automatically. I could do nothing but wait for my brother to return home. It was about 4pm and he would be off work at 6pm. So i kept waiting and waiting, even my dog seemed laughing at me, which made me furious and wanted to beat him. At last, my brother came back. He almost burst into laughter when he saw me standing outside impatiently. Have you ever locked yourself outside? Looking forward to your feedback.

many times, my friend. i've locked myself out of my car. i've also locked myself outside of the house... even from my hotel room. it's not only because the doors lock automatically, but more often, i forget the keys. many times, i just laugh off my being forgetful...

Wow, if it's really like that, maybe I have to admit that you're a little bit forgetful. Forgetting keys is annoying at that very moment but later we may feel it funny as we recall it.

you know my friend, those were the days when i have three regular jobs and had several sidelines on the side and i have no driver. so, with so many things in my mind and a lot of papers to deal with, i get my car keys, even my keys to the house, misplaced... only to realize that i've left them inside... the car and the house... but i hardly forget them now. i've mellowed down... a lot... in work... i mean...

I have never done it myself, but that puts me in mind of something that happened when I was a kid and it really got me laughing. My dad was working for a family, he was working outside at the time, and the mother of the family stepped out with the garbage. When she did, the door shut behind her and locked her out. While she pounded on the door to get let back in, my dad could see five little faces (of her kids) one by one, peeking out of different windows and laughing. Dad said he couldn't work for the rest of the day, he was laughing too hard. I could just see it happening in that family.

I used to babysit those kids on occasiona and they could be a handful, but they were some of the happiest kids you ever met and had the best humor. They had another little boy after that incident. I heard he was just like the rest.

I honestly have never locked myself out of my house (knock on wood because now that I say it it'll probably happen!), but I constantly lock myself out of my car. In fact, my husband locked us out of his car on prom! xD His brother had done it with his date two years before, too. LOL. My husband knows to regularly expect me to call him to come let me in my car. Mostly I lock myself out of my car when I go to work and I know right away, so he can take his time and get there when he's available. One day, though, I locked my keys in the car with the car still running. xD Not sure how I managed that one, but I did, and I had to call AAA to come and open the door before I ran out of gas!

Yes, it's irritating at that very moment, but afterwards, we kind of feel it funny. I was furious at first, but then i couldn't help laughing at myself.

It's fortunate that your father's friend had a key, or you might have to wait for a long time before someone opened the door for you. Have a nice day!
