best CMS software?

i wanna learn a content management system software,but i dont know which is the best,i also need it is free and but wether it is asp or php is no matter to me,i trust my study genius.thx in advance!

Go drupal...Joomla will just make you buy expensive plugins

i like joomla as cms!!it free because it is an open source project has many features and even good possibilities to personalize it depending from your needs!!you can try it!!

You can try Joomla or drupal both are free. Currently I am working with drupal, it is very good.

One place to check out would be opensourcecms.com. Also, I've heard good things about OpenCMS which is based on the J2EE platform. (opencms.org) You'll find a review of it at cmswatch.com. Good luck in your search.
