New World Record!!!!

India

Yusuf Pathan got the fastest 100 in any forms of the game today. He completed his 100 in 37 balls surpassing the previous fastest 100 from Shahid Afridi in 39 balls against Sri Lanka a decade ago. This was also the fastest 100 in t20 bettering Adam Gilchrist's 100 of 42 balls scored on the same ground 2 years back in the first edition of IPL. Its a big achivement but the sterling performance was still not good enough to get the Royals to a victory as they lost marginaly today. The important question here is can some one break this record created or this will be here for some time? What to you think and whome do you think will be able to better this? Will it be Sehwag,Hayden,Dhoni,Yuvraj, whom do you think will be able to better this? Lets have our say now!!!

Hi Amit! Afridi also scored Hundred in 37 balls and not 39. So Yusuf stands shares the record with Afridi. You can say that Afridi holds the record in ODI and Yusuf in T20. It was a brilliant innings from Yusuf! Happy Mylotting!

just found out that Andrew Symonds hit a century in just 34 balls in a T20 match. So Yusuf's is not a world record. Happy Mylotting!

I just loved his clean striking. The sixes he hit were huge. Except for the one that I though Mcclaren should have caught. I hope he continues his form into the T20 world cup as that would be great news for India. I am not sure if anyone other than Pathan can break this record. But each year we find a new guy who seems to be coming up with different strokes for the T20 format, so let's see who can take this record on. Cheers! Ram

I think the previous best was not in 39 balls but in 38. I do not know how right I am but I think I have never heard the 39 number associated with the fastest century in any kind of the format. Anywyas, thanx for the information.

hi amit pathan has played very well, we should be proud to have pathan brothers in our team, though pathan played well other players could not play well , if pathan had win the royals he would have got more credit.

If you follow sports achievements then you'll notice that people these days have mutated in some ways. They keep advancing to the new record that was impossible decades ago. That kind of fact is not good to me as I believe that if we continue to push the limit, then we might end up breaking the balanced system. But I guess people won't care so there will be a new record sooner or later.
