Trying a writing experiment

A month or so ago I joined Examiner.com. Going to work at it for a few months and see if I actually make money. Other Examiner's have said that this has led them to other private jobs. Also heard once you reach your first pay out it is fairly easy. Pay out is after $25 and is monthly. So far I like the fact that I can write on whatever topic I want as long as it pertains to my title. I am the Ohio Healthy Living Examiner. Since I am a local examiner I get an extra dollar per article if my piece is an actual local story. I only have to write 250 words. I can write more if I want. The system is easy to use. The admin at Examiner are nice. The application was easy. If you want to give it a try. Please sign up under my referral Ohio Healthy Living Examiner Linda M. McCloud and then let me know that you applied and what your title is. I would love to read your work as well and help you build your page views. I would also like to see how quickly other people's pages grow on Examiner. If you are all ready an Examiner I would love to hear what you think of the site.

Wow another writing site that I could explore. I am just wondering, like I said, if it's open to Internationals as well. I do hope it is. I find it quite interesting to browse through an International writing site. It just makes everything a learning process.

Right now it is only open to residents in the US and I believe Canada, sorry. Just met my first payout. Maybe this will be a good venture!! Thanks to reading. Linda

I've never heard of examiner.com but it sounds interesting. Is it just for US residents, I wonder? I'm from Britain and I've found sites like this before only to be disappointed that I'm not allowed to join. In any case, I can log on and read your submissions in the spirit of friendship!

Yes I was wondering that too. I'm from Asia and that thing where I'm about to signup and my browser gets redirected happens to me A LOT.

Good luck on your experiment. I don't write for them myself but I know some who do. Unfortunately, the real earning potential is in the nation-wide stuff not the local. But you might still make some money off of it.
