Of course Adam will be the one to see through Patty's masquerade. She will probably slip up about something that happened when he was helping her hide at the ranch. Just how will he use it to his advantage?

Will he use it to his advantage or will she use it to hers? Meanwhile what's happening with Michael trying to get Patty (Emily) released into Paul's custody. There hasn't been a word about that. Surely she will find some way to persuade him eventually if she has some time with him.

I think there will be something on Patty(Emily) next week to the effect that Emily(Patty) won't be her doctor. My worry is that Adam will figure out that Patty is pretending to be Emily and blackmail her to rig the DNA tests on the baby to make look like it is Ashley's baby.

don't think Patty is smart enough to do that well enough to fool a professional, but I guess it just has to fool Nick, Sharon, victor and Ashley...

Stealthy, that storyline you just concocted is frighteningly plausible given the way Adam finds some way to worm out of everything. I sure hope it doesn't happen, but it wouldn't surprise me...

I really do not think that Adam is smart enough to figure out that Patti is really Emily. Also, with the court hearing today I had a feeling that Patti was going to try to get away with being Emily. I am glad to see that Patti (well the real Emily) is still in Psychiatric Ward. I cannot believe that Jack i dumb enough to believe that the love of his life is in the Psychiatric Ward while the real Patti is out. I wish Paul would wake up and smell the coffee. I thought they did a DNA test on Emily whatever happened to those results. I hope that Adam gets everything he deserves. He is a mean person. I feel sorry for his late mother Faith (may she rest in peace).

They didn't do a DNA test on Emily. Paul doesn't even want to consider the possibility that she's telling the truth. Actually, Paul has been unusually hard-headed throughout this; his investigator side really seems to get turned off when it comes to his sister. He didn't even agree to question Patty (who he thinks is Dr. P...this story is kind of confusing to talk about) about medical terms. That would've been so easy and she probably would have slipped up. Unfortunately, I think Adam is smart enough to figure it out. He's undoubtedly evil, but also pretty smart. If he had just been paying attention, he'd have noticed that Patty was glowering with rage as Adam talked about how she targeted Ashley when he was really the one who put her up to it.

One thing that has disappointed me is the way Patty has entirely gotten away with playing Emily. It shouldn't be that easy to imitate a trained psychologist. Yes, she and Emily spent a lot of time together and she no doubt picked up clinical terms along the way, but this is one of those storylines that makes everyone in Genoa City look stupid. Paul has no idea Emily is not his sister. Worse (as you mentioned in a previous discussion) Jack has no idea Patty is not his wife. People at the psychiatric hospital don't see anything amiss. Possibly that patient Patty sent packing is suspicious but, if so, we haven't seen her since. Maybe Emily's mention of going ice skating will give Jack some pause for thought (but it didn't really sound like it to me). The story would definitely be better if at least one person strongly suspected something was up...or at least acknowledged that something was wrong/weird about how Patty and Emily are behaving.

I do not see how Patty can be getting away with pretending to be Emily. Emily had to go to college to become a psychiatrist yet Patti just read some of Emily's books and then can fool people come on writers does not make sense.

I half expected Patti to reveal herself to Adam and he would talk her into messing with the paternity test so he could prove to Sharon he had told the truth and Patti would be happy to help so that Jack would keep his mind off of Ashley and back onto her. And then they would drag out this torture about Faith until she was older and they could really mess her up.
