Not true at all! I married one of my class mates but it didn't last but 7 and 1/2 years. We have one son and now three grandsons. He ended up being physically and mentally abusive to me and I ended up in the hospital several times. I was too young and stupid to think of him being that way and of course guys always put on their happy faces for you. I am now married again and my husband is a disabled veteran. LIfe is soo strange.

High school romance can be both good and bad. I know many people who married the person they dated in high school, myself being one of them. I started dating my husband our senior year in high school and we moved in together as soon as we graduated. Then again, I know a lot of things that went wrong with high school romances, too, and they don't always end up pretty. I'm lucky and never really had my heart broken or anything. I had to break a guy's heart before and that wasn't very much fun, but I didn't want to pretend everything was ok, either, when I really didn't like him as anything more than a friend anymore. And I don't regret it for a minute because I started dating a few months after we broke up. ^_^

High school romance is fun, flirty...and kind of dangerous. Pople get their hearts broken all the time and some kids just cant handle it or suffer for the rest of their lives with it. Otehrs think they cn handle it and get so caught up tha they forget they're just kids and how fast everythign goes...that they end up pregnant or in such a serious relationship that their hearts break even worse and for longer. Ive had love that has gone unreturned. As all people encounter. It hurts a lot but what hurts the most in my opinion is love that you had and then went unreturned. Its the ultimate rejection in my opinion - you're true self is shown to someone only tohave them say they dont like that person.
