I got a job as a parttime clerk in an insurance office. I only work 4 hours a day and three days a week. The first day is very busy. My lady boss gives me a lot of work to do. She keeps talking and I kept listening when she guides me all the way. I have not learn the function of the business yet but I learn to do all the paper work without time knowing why. After work when I went home, only I realise how does the system works. I think my lady boss is a bit tension herself and as she teaches me to do her work, I also pressured by her. My question is how do I release my tension after going back home as I keep thinking how my day has been today?

In the days when I was working outside the house, I found that it was very important for me to have a routine after I got off of work that would help me to relax. I worked in the medical field and that kind of job is something that is extremely stressful. I would get a coffee after I got off of work (I worked the night shift), then I would go home and watch the most ignorant comedy show that I could find so I would forget about the stressors of work.

my brother used to have a punching bag at home. i would do 3 to 4 minutes of punching around just to release tension. it really helps. or simply just watch comedy flicks. i really loved watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S back then. they had the best jokes ever. after 1 or 2 episodes i always felt good.

some people (like your boss) usually pass on their knowledge according to their pace ... they think that all people are capable of catching up to their intellect ... (some people ... my teachers...) ... about releasing you tension... well ... idk ... i still need to work on that myself ... i wouldn't want to recommend to you my means of releasing my tension(s) ... trust me .. you wouldn't want to do it.... .... maybe... you should get some sleep ....

Hi Wongchoiyee, The insurance business can be very demanding what with all the claims, etc. Perhaps your boss is just under a lot of pressure and feels the strain of having to take time to train someone. Things should calm down as you learn more and are able to help her more. I would exercise to release stress. Exercise will allow you to release some of the tension building up from the day. Pick something you enjoy doing. Best of luck to you.
