what is the size of the screen you prefer for your monitor

earlier the computer monitors used to be of 14 or 15 inches only. they the 17 inches became the standard screen size. but now it is 19 or more. so screen size is getting increased in standard. so what is your standard or preference for the size of monitor screen.

i think 17 inches is good.. because u sit too near to ur computer... there is no need to buy a new one and waste money... 17 is good... i think a designer can have bigger screens because they do work and design... normal user just read text and games... not anything more.. i recommend a 17 inches lcd monitor...

I have also 17"" monitor.. but now i think 21 monitor screen is better.. because it is a big screen and if you watched movies on this screen then you may enjoy fully..like a cinema hall.. but 17"" is a standard size.. but now i want to change my monitor screen.. and want to purchase 21"" TFT screen.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

I think that the first monitor that I ever had was a 16 inch screen. However, for the last several years, my husband has had a 20 inch diagonal screen and I've had a 19 inch diagonal screen. Of course, both of us are using desktop computers. When it comes to our laptops, we have 17 inch laptops, so needless to say, the screen is a bit smaller on those. When it comes to the screen, I like them fairly big, but I couldn't imagine using my television as a computer monitor (it is 47 inches).

Well, I would prefer 40" screen that can be used for my PC as well as a TV but I am right now, using a 20" Samsung SyncMaster 920NW screen. For a normal computer, I prefer 20" or more. Well, I love 40" monitor which I saw in a gaming center!

i'm using a 24 monitor and quite happy with it. Monitor prices have been dropping and you can find a 24 monitors for very good prices.

Since I am using a laptop, the screen is a 15.4" wide screen. It really looks bigger than that, but it isn't any bigger. I like the wide screens as they it seems more of the page is on the screen, so I don't have to scroll to much, but still some. I have never had a 17" wide screen before. I am sure that they are nice, but I have to take what the laptops have on them. Take care, and have a very good day.
