Do your dogs hate to take a bath?

Hi, I would like to ask if your dog hates to take a bath? My dog, bern really hates it, if I get a chance I clean him weekly, cause I am working from Mon-Fri plus the fact that nobody can tame him, only me. Last week im going to clean bern, but he refuse to. He barks at me and scare me, I didn't pursue cause he might bite me unintentionally. Few mins, he was trap, I close all door so he can't get through the house. He just stand by and I was hiding, waiting for him to get out but I didn't win. I just got a chance when he walks with me and he unnoticed that and I took the chance and splash water to him and them soap him. Is your dog like bern too?

That is so cute, dogs who loves water is very rare in my country. you might associate dogs to a goat cause they both hate waters, haha. I don't use blower, I let them dry their coat.

My dog hates bath too, but when he was still a puppy, I included him, when I took a bath twice a week. I built a trust bond between us, that whenever I am the who gives him a bath, he'll just behave. Not like with my other family members, when they gives him a bath, he always gives them a hard time.

My dog too only trusted me when it comes to bathing him. He will not allow anyone except me. He gets angry if your going to grab him. Now he's attitude change, he doesn't allow me anymore to bathe him. I'm having the hard time to catch him.

I have 4 dogs. 3 of them do not mind baths at all. They are perfectly content to sit in the tub and let me give them a bath. However, I have an 8 year old saint bernard mix that we adopted from a shelter 3 years ago. He has always hated baths. He will do everything that he can to get out of the tub before I even start giving him a bath. I have to get in the tub with him and hold his collar and stand over him to be able to give him a bath. There are still times that he manages to jump out and get away. Being an older dog, he does not do a lot to get dirty most of the time, so he does not get baths as frequently as the other dogs. Plus, it is so hard and exhausting to try to give him a bath. Now that it is warming up, I am thinking about trying to give him a bath outside with the water hose and see if he does better with that.

yes, maybe he will do anything just to get away from you if you use water hose. There are some dogs who hated water. I just exerted more patient.

Our dog doesn't like being bathed or put in a tub - he hates being picked up or enclosed anyway.
Usually I just take him outside and use a watering can to get him wet, soap him up and then rinse him off. He doesn't like this particularly but he puts up with it better than being put in a tub.
