Mobile Phones change every now and then. As technology diversifies, the Mobile Phone community embraces it. From a simple Mobile Phone that only uses for call, to SMS and MMS Text Messaging up to it's Video and Camera features and so on, the satisfaction never stops. Whatever the size may be, or any features in stored, it will always be a part of our everyday lives.... Some would prefer a mobile phone that provides good quality photos or images with high resolutions, and they sometimes prefer more with a flash. Some would want to have their music wherever they go. An MP3 player that would provide playback and create a playlist. Nowadays touch screen Mobile Phones are what others prefer, and some would just stay with the simplicity of it. Whatever your Mobile Phone has, the good thing is that you stay and keep in touch. How about you?... How unique is your phone?... What features does it have that you adore most?.. What does it have that you stand out from the rest?...

I prefer a phone that can make and receive calls. Point blank. Period. Good lord even the word "phone" is incredibly vague these days. ...

Hooray for common sense!! I'm the same way. I have it for emergencies and only pay $15 a month for mine and the minutes roll over each month. I'm glad I have it when I need it but I don't understand people who want to be accessible 24/7/365 to the whole world! You are so young to have such a realistic and sensible attitude. You will go far in life!

Ahhh yes. I see there are intelligent people on here. Thank you guys! Dragon54u i totally understand. I don't want to pay for minutes or hours or whatever i don't use! its ridiculous. thanks for that note too. I'm just tryna make more sense than problems in my life. What's up with this "texting"??? Don't worry Brynnerson, i'm sure there are people who don't spend their ENTIRE lives on the phone. however, my cousin couldnt live without one that doesnt have the internet. hahahaha As we go on in years, phones (and tech in general) become so unnecessarily advanced. *sigh*. I'll stay simple. Hope yall have less complicated lives as yall live. Peace.

My phone is very simple. I have it only for emergencies. I have service with Net 10 and the minutes roll over each month. Before I lost my last Net 10 phone it had thousands of minutes on it!! Now I have 1200 minutes saved up. Only $15 a month and the phone was free. It doesn't take pictures or access the web but I don't need or want that. I rarely use it and don't even know how to text. I don't like to be "connected" to the world 24/7 so this is a good phone for me. I see that you are new--welcome to myLot!

You were like my elder sister... She uses her phone just for call and a little bit of text... and if her phone's battery is empty, she'll just charge it without turning it on.. Thank you for the compliment... I hope you would help me being exposed here at My Lot... ;) ...hope to see you on some other discussions then....

For businessmen, and i think you are one of them, it is preferable. It is like a small laptop at the palm of your hand... and of course, never a place should not have a Wi-fi zone.. ;)

Mine has so many features that I just can't ecide which one I like the best. I guess I like all of them, as they are very good features. It is a Windows Mobile phone, whih means it can access the internet, play videos, and I can put misc on it, althought I haven't done that as I have an ipod touch, so I don't need any music on my phone. I can access mylot on it and post from it, and that is one feature I really like, as this is the first phone where I have been able to do that. It works really well, being able to access mylot. I am glad I bought it even though it was very expensive, but worth it as it is a handheld computer basically, as it does just about everything my laptop does, except play games online, but that is okay, as I don't do that on my laptop anyway, so that isn't something I really need. Take care, and have a very good day.

I love my Nokia N95 because of the resolution of its camera and it has a capacity of 8gb .. These are probably the reasons why the new models of cellphones do not appeal anymore to me. . I use my cellphone camera more than my digital camera.

With just about every technology, there's no "one size fits all". With the growth of certain types of business, so does their need for communication & at the speed it's done. Just like as far as transportations are concern, people who work in investment bank may not need a truck when plumbers & contractors may not need station-wagons or motorcycles for their jobs. It's almost like saying, "Well, all those vehicles basically do the samething. They all get people from point A to point B." I have a translation job on a side & I tend to spend a lot of time on the phone. It's not to say I'm constantly accessible to the world. I don't know about the rest of the world but the phone I have does have power button so that I can turn it off any time I didn't want to be bothered or want to be "avaliable to the world". Most of us have to work. I don't think it's a matter of choice, well, for some may be it is but it sure is not a matter of choice to me. I guess technically I can choose to be jobless & be a bum. Which means to have a job, sometimes it's not a matter of a choice as far as being avaliable on some days of the week, of course based on what type of job you have. Doctors & lawyers I know are constantly on call & avaliable. I'm not comparing myself to doctors & lawyers but I'm just saying with some professions, we need to be avaliable more so than others. On an average, I go through about 3,000 minutes a month. Most of it is job related. I'm on the road a lot & I really don't have any access to landline while I'm working. Otherwise I could be carrying 15 rolls of quarters & constantly look for pay-phones. That being said, I have sony ericsson TM717. I had blackberry 9700 up until about a week ago & while I was on vacation, I dropped it in the ocean. (long story). I needed a phone & I went into a local store, bought a phone. To my surprise, this phone does "push emails" & has access to internet, basic version at that but still. I bought this thinking I'm only using this on temporary basis but now I'm pretty happy with it. My phone's not that unique or even stand out from the rest. Matter in fact, it blends in pretty well with an average phone, which I think this phone is. It has 3 things I was looking for in a phone. Voice calls, messaging (text & emails), & internet access. That's all I need from my phone for everything I do, from work related use to personal reasons.

I used to think that all I wanted on a phone was to be able to call and text. Now I've come to realize the usefulness of having things like a camera, email, internet, and music player, etc. all in one. It's akin to having an electronic swiss-army knife. A feature that I rarely use, but find invaluable to have is the camera. I don't take many personal pictures or random pictures of scenery, but I do take pictures of things I need to remember like the ISBN number for a textbook I like (but don't want to pay $100+ for in a bookstore when I can find it for $40 online). And as far as unique goes: I have an iPhone so I wouldn't say it's unique in any way. However, that just means it's more like the swiss-army knife analogy because if it can't do it already I'll just find the app.
