Do you believe on generational curses, where the parents sin will be passed on their children, like when your parents were abusive, you will also become an abusive person?

Yes, I believe that generational curses exist, but I believe that the curses should not define us as individuals. More than that, I believe more in Jesus' sovereignty and power to heal and free us from ANYTHING.
In short, He is mighty to save us, even from generational curses!

Yeah, Jesus Christ is the one who will heal and free us from anything. He has the power to do so, if we only believe on Him and humble ourselves. Anyway, thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

i believe so.i think it is mentioned in the bible.am just not sure what specific txt.That is the reason why in church there is a thing as 'healing of the family tree'.The sin of a parent will be passed to the children, so the children will get to suffer.
And also one thing is that, when we are living under the same roof, our sub-conscious mind tends to copy the traits that our parents are displaying.that is why maybe we also suffer the same trait.

Yeah, it's was true. Children often copy their parents trait and behavior that's why they often follow their parents bad behavior and live with it. Yeah I also heard about it "healing of the family tree" it's very important and it was been practiced by many people. Believing in God and doing repentance will sit one free from those kind of sins. i'd not term acquiring traits or behaviors as generational curses. any other weakness of a person as not a curse that one can inherit. perhaps we can call them personal weaknesses. as i had read before, as a student in my psychology degree, that we inherit the color of neurons, their number and the appearance of our brain from our parents. we all know that everything is caused by that gray matter so they say that if one parent is an alcholic the child or one of the children is sure to be one. if the parent is abusive the child or one of the children might turn out to be also. that is why it is important that we know our genetic defects so that we can temper it.

I am a Bible believer. I also believe in generational curses. It was mentioned in Exodus 34:5-7, "...visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon their children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and fourth generation"...

No i dont believe them. Rather i dont believe in sin and good things. No one can abuse any one and a sin can never be passed. I believe its just the extreme anger, which comes out of curses and nothing else.

Yes, I do believe in generation curses. The curse can only be break down by true repentance, total submission and faithfulness with God. All things are possible with Jesus. Curse has now power with Jesus. So, if you are long with gen curses, it;s time to give your life to Jesus. God bless.

i do believe in them but for the sake of us all, i hope it is not altogether true.
'apples don't fall far away from the tree' is something that i do not believe in... regardless of who your parents are their children does not need to do the same thing. every human has its own personality. though we are complex being and we adapt to our environment i think that as rational as we are, we can choose how we want to live our life.. good vs. bad..
