I really love the Ice Age Series, Shrek, and Up. Lion King is great, too! I sooo love that film. Also, the short animated film "Alma" is very interesting; you can just watch it in YouTube. What about yours?

if you like Spirited Away, try watching other anime movies by the same studio (Ghibli Studios). I would recommend the one called Totoro. a very good movie that one.

Mine right now is "How to train your dragon" - fun stuff! Watch it. This stuff just never gets old - it's fun how they get new ideas here and there to entertain people :)

Oh a new film! Okay I'll check that one out. I think I have read a booklet of the same title. And it was very interesting, the aithor spoke of dragons as if they existed in real life.

I really love many of the Disney movies from the 90's... especially Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, the Little Mermaid, Mulan, Fox and the Hound, and Aladdin. They're classics. Most kids growing up now don't get to watch them...I think that's partially because of the fact that most families own them on vhs and haven't bought the DVDs yet.

I agree with you! I also have it in my all-time favorites. Is Toy Story a really good one? Honestly when it was first released I was not attracted to the animation, but with all the good comments I hear about it here, I guess it's a really beautiful film.

what a very good discussion. i am a huge fan of animated films. i pretty much love all the movies made by Pixar. Toy Story series (the 3rd movie coming out this June) is my favourite. as well as Up, Ratatouille and Finding Nemo. as for Disney Classics, my all time favourite would be Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. and i love japanese animes too. just too many titles i love but if anyone would want to try to watch an anime, try starting with movies by ghibli studios. they are very suitable for kids. but there's this one title 'Grave of the Fireflies' are probably for more matured audience. it is a very sad tale about this siblings orphaned because of the hiroshima bomb. made me cry :P

I heard that Ghibli studios produces really great animated films. That film sounds great! I am kinda a sucker for sad films. Thank you for sharing and finding this discussion good.

Wow, the animated movies are the best out there in the movie industry! I very like the Disney movies till the early 90s. Maybe my most favorite is The beauty and the beast. I also love Aladdin, Cinderella, Robin Hood, The sword in the stone, Lion King.. these are such classics that I really don't know if someone doesn't like them. When PIXAR came to the stage 2D movies kinda have gone out of the scene, but there are good movies from PIXAR too. Shreks, Toy story, WALL-E, UP..there are and more, they are good, but nothing special. I'm very happy that Disney are going back to the 2D fairytales with The princess and the frog and Rapunzel. I hope there will be more.

Ah Disney's 2D movies are great, they're usually the ones that are really enchanting and can make one cry. I haven't seen The Princess and the Frog but I have seen great feedbacks from people.

I love those old animated movies released by Disney. And one of my favourite is Thumbelina which is an adaptation of one of the classic fairytale written by Hans Christian Andersen. The story was great and I love its soundtrack as well which was originally sung by Barry Manilow. I just watch it again some two weeks ago and I did enjoy the movie as much as I enjoyed watching it for the first time and that was some 10 years ago. LOL!
