I don't know how the sacrifices it took for a LAWYER before finally getting into the BAR. Getting away from the loved ones for months during the reviews and four days during the examinations. But it will definitely the GREATEST feeling to see your name in the list of the successful examinees who passed the BAR. I am just so DELIGHTED to receive a call last SATURDAY and had the GOOD NEWS from my sister that our BROTHER had passed the 2009 BAR EXAMS. Now, he is finally a LAWYER and I am so proud of him. So, what it is the BEST and the GREATEST News so far that you ever had this year? Care to share yours? Neil

Wow! Congratulations to your family! Having a lawyer in the family is such an achievement for the whole. I have a cousin who is a lawyer and we were all happy when he passed the BAR. He is now a captain in the Philippine National Police. He practiced being a lawyer for some time before joining the Police. I remember when we were younger and we were talking to our Grandpa and he asked us what we want to be. Grandpa asked him if he wanted to become a lawyer and he said no because lawyers justify all even if it is not right or lawful as long as his clients win the case. We still laugh about it when we reminisce that time. The good news for me this year is that school time is over and summer vacation is coming. It's time to unwind from many paper works at the school I'm working in. It's time to get to the beaches and resorts and bask in the sand and surf.

wow, a lawyer in the police force? well, that is good. i always wanted to be a specialist in at least more than one field but since i have no money to continue my studies, i only work better in my field now. but i won't stop learning online. thanks for sharing your family's experience. and good luck to your summer vacation. well, good to hear that teachers or non-teaching staff like you have still some times to spend vacation and unwind. but here in our office, work continues all year round.

Is it only now that you've heard of lawyers getting into the police force? I know more. Lawyers who get into the police force gets higher ranks than those graduating from the Police Academy. Well, vacation is not long for us still, We get to unwind for some time but eventually we have to get back to school some time in summer to prepare papers for the incoming school year and also to manage summer classes.

eileen, he really needs a good treat from all of us. that i have thought about earlier, when another collector called me up and trying to convinced me to settle my account with the bank. i told him, i really got no cash this time and if they really wish to sue me, go on, i said.

There's a lot of good news but the greatest so far is when my Mom told me that my younger Sister passed the 2009 Nursing Licensure Exam. Another news that I'm looking forward is our Annualization this coming July. We get our Annual Basic Salary increase every month of July and this is a performance- based increase. My stats are good so I'm so excited to know the percentage of my Annualization for this year.

No I'm not. I'm working in a private company. Each achievement that we have we should always be happy for it and cherish it especially those achieved by people who are important to us. I've realized that the key to happiness is to treasure and be happy with every little nice things that happens to us. ;) have a nice day!

Wow congratulations to your brother.I had seen a one crying lady on Manila Bulletin yesterday, she saw her boyfriend's name on the list of the board passers. I know how you feel and it is a wonderful feeling if you became successful achieving your goals. The good news I received this year is I already starting the operation of my business. I am happy that I can now finally move out of the rat race.

yeah, it was his first try. i still don't have an idea what his average score but the people in the bar reported that passing score was lowered that made the examinees happy and more passed though there were only 25% of them passed.

Wow! It is a tough exam.I would like to congratulate your brother and your whole family as well for that. You now have a lawyer and that is one feather in your cap. Not all aspiring lawyers managed to fulfill their dream actually. I know someone who have taken this exam to the limit and still was unable to pass. It is good they've lowered the passing more to 71 percent I think. Again my Congratulations!

thanks a lot salonga. i am really really proud of him. it was really a very tough job. but he did good. i also know someone from here in the office. she actually made it after 5 tries. the other lawyer here told me she made on her third try. it is really tough. yeah, they said that they lowered the passing and that was really good for the new lawyers. thanks again.

I have a grandson who went through that a couple of years ago and I remember how hard it was for him. Now he works to defend children and says learning to pass the Bar was just the beginning, he's now learning how to be a Lawyer.

i like that statement, learning to be a lawyer after passing the bar? i think that really is how it is, we can only know and learn what actually is our profession once we practice the profession. it could not be the schooling for some, but after the testings when we passed it and when we are allowed to practice, the profession is yet to start.

That is fantastic news! You must be so proud of your brother; that is a great achievement. He must have worked very hard to get to this successful point! So far this year I haven’t had too many news yet, except that my sister in law is going to have a baby due any day now! Congratulations again to your family and your brother, great stuff!

Its a really good news to here. Lawer and lier are quite common. ( dont misinterpret it please ). Here lawers tend to lie to get free their clients from several cases. I am also encountering a case where i was attempted to murder by a youth. I registered a police case and it has run to court just month ago, where our rival lawer confused me with tones of lies. So i hope your brother will be a true lawer, never a lier. Offer my congratulations to him. For me the best news was, when i was declared as 2nd best villain in an international drama competition. Photos added. Take care.

yeah shibham, i know what you mean about lawyers and liars. i have been working here for years with lawyers and i know how the court runs, how cases are being heard at court rooms. your greetings will reach him and thanks. well, congratulations too, for being the 2nd best villain in the international drama competition you have joined. good job.
