Drama Queen!

Our female cat is a drama queen. We had a visitor over the weekend and whenever there is a strange person in the house she refuses to eat her food and goes into an almighty sulk. Of course, it would be easy enough for her to hide but, no, she has to sulk in full view of everyone so you all know she is sulking. I know if I opened a tin of tuna she'd soon eat it but she is happy to ignore the bowl of kibbles for dramatic effect. Does your cat do this kind of thing?

She sounds like quite a character. Our cats don't do that. We used to have a dozen cats here and had to get rid of most of them. One female was rather dramatic but not like yours. I have had a lot of cats in my day and never one that did what you have said. Alot of different personalities but most go hide when we have company.

If we have anyone different here, the cats call fair game and are all over any lap or leg available. One of our cats thinks we are all trees or scratching posts. They would think it meant more food, more times. They are all different of course.

Moomin is very much an attention seeker but he wouldn't sulk, or ignore his food bowl, he'd just keep pushing and pushing for attention from whoever was closest to hand. The irony is that he will *perform* for visitors and ignore his Mum the whole time he has an audience.

I don't have a cat but my dog is a picky eater. He only eat with passion if we give his favorite food Meatball. If not he just stare his food with no appetite but if we left him alone he will soon ate it. I think not only your cat is a drama queen my dog also.
