Sun-Times Media Wire March 25, 2010 (GREEN GARDEN TWP., Ill.) -- A 20-year-old Will County man accidentally shot himself in the hand while he and a friend were shooting at an abandoned farmhouse earlier this month in the far southwest suburbs. Matthew B. Eastman and Nicholas A. Bastian, both 20, were returning to Eastman's residence at 11103 W. Dralle Road in Green Garden Township near Monee, reportedly after shooting at an abandoned farmhouse with a .45-caliber handgun and a .22-caliber rifle, according to Will County Sheriff's Police. "The two then stopped their vehicle in order to shoot the guns again, at which time Eastman accidentally shot himself in the right hand," police said. Eastman was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet and treated, before being charged with unlawful use of a weapon and unauthorized possession of a firearm, according to Will County Sheriff's office spokesman Pat Barry.
