Our new puppy..........

We got our puppy a few days ago and let me tell you, it is a big adjustment! It really is like having another child in the house. She's a sweetie though.
She is a beagle and labrador mix and has a brown and black face and back with white legs and white on half of her tail. So some of you know that I needed some help in choosing a name for her. Well the name we finally all agreed on is Riley. It think it's a nice strong name to go with her markings and her personality. Plus she's gotten the household all riled up!

I'm so happy to hear that you and your family have named the puppy. I really like the name too, it is unique and it sounds to me that there is a very good reason that she got the name that she has.
From my own personal experience, I can certainly tell you that it is quite the experience to add a new furry member to your family. It was two months ago that we added our kitty to our family and to be honest we are still adjusting to him.

Puppies are like having children..lol..They are into anything they can get into and chew everthing they run across. I get mine special chews and chew toys. Everytime they try to get something else..I say NO and give them their toy. It really helps to have something to focus their attention on. Riley sounds like a great name.

So true about the chewing. I forgot how much they like to chew on people too! 
I bought a bunch of toys for her to chew so whenever she starts to chew on one of our legs I say "NO" and give her one of her toys. Hopefully she learns soon to stop chewing on us because the kids get really upset when that happens. It really hurts!
