Is there anything you wish you would have done?

I wish I could have gone on a Vision Quest as a teenager. Maybe I could have found out what it was I was supposed to grow up to be. A teacher was probably not it. I'm burned-out and very unhappy as a substitute teacher. At 52 years old, a Vision Quest would probably kill me now. Maybe if I pray and meditate. I prayed and meditated for the best husband for me. Maybe I should pray and meditate for the best job for me. This recession has me very discouraged. It's a rough time to change careers and with a Masters degree in education, any training I do must be on my own dime. Dimes I don't have. I barely pay my bills. The money is there, but not on time.

Journalism and art, that sounds pretty neat. Wish I was good at either one. I bet those would make for incredible lifestyles.

Yes, and I was just thinking about it the other day. I didn't go with my eighth grade class to Washington DC. All my older children did and had fun, (well except for the fight my son got into, but that's a different story..lol)and I never experienced that. My 7 y/o is looking forward to going, and we were talking about it, which reminded me how much I did want to go.

Ah that will be so nice. In my case, it's not the things I've done that I regret so much as the things I haven't done.

Oh, yes a Vision Quest would be very interesting. I wish I had taken better care of my teeth when younger. Treating people differently when I was younger would be a good one too. While they were alive and asked them more about their lives and things they did. Now I don't know these things and wish I had while I had the chance.

Yeah, like cooking from my Mom when she was alive or fixing things from my Dad when he was alive.

i wish i had work in the office when i was graduated. i decided to work from home since i had graduated, but i think that is a wrong choice. i really want to work in the office right now. but it is hard to find a new one when we are not fresh graduated anymore

That is hard. But in many places, it's hard to get a job outside the home anywhere right now. It's a very hard economy. Thanks and take care.

Some people go on to teach nursing. Does that appeal to you?
