Africa is an interesting place to go to. I have been to Tunisia when I was a teenager. Then I went to Kenya when I was in my twenties. I traveled to the Seychelles when I was in my thirties. Last year I traveled with my toddler son to South Africa. We explored Cape Town and the Garden Route.
Would you like to visit Africa?
If so which countries would you be keen to go to?
Have you been to Africa already? If so where?

I've been to Ghana in 2001. It's a nice place and I liked it there. I'd like to visit other African countries...but unlike you, I can't imagine travelling with my toddler! The last time I went to Ghana, my older son was a year old...he was quite an easy child and my parents lived in Ghana then...so it was a lot easier than trying to see all I could in a given period of time and not being able to do so with a toddler. I stayed for 6 weeks then and it was great.

I would like to visit Africa, although I know that is an unlikely thing to happen during my lifetime. But I know people who have been, and they loved it. I know missionaries who have worked in the Ivory Coast and Kenya. They just loved the people. I would like to visit South Africa.

Definitely NO. With no offence to people coming from these areas. I might be prejudiced but I don't have the least intention to visit such places. There are two reasons behind my decision. 1) Poverty - maybe I am prejudiced here but when I visited Tunisia sixteen years ago I saw lots of poverty and beggars and people literally living on the streets. Such things unfortunately exist in richer countries too. 2) Hot temperatures - I visited Tunisia in August so the temperatures were over 40C. So I have vowed that countries below my island Malta .... are not my cup of tea.... If I want to enjoy the sun and hot weather I can do it in my own backyard.

maximax8,
I took my family to Johannesburg with my air miles where we visited Sun City and the Kruger National Park which was a rewarding experience for all of us.
The experience in Kruger is just awesome where it simply put living in the safari a whole new perspective. Living the experience of the show Born Free is really something and indescribable even for my family to this day. You should try it.

I'm keen to visit everywhere to be quite honest! I'd love to see Africa, and not only see it, but complete mission projects there. Not sure about specific countries within, but I'd love to see some of the wildlife and such, and I'd love to walk through a big city or two just to inhale the culture.
