I do. But not for vanity's sake. It's more of to be sure that not much information is available about me on the internet.

I am just curious and I do find a few, but I really have not counted them yet. There is another reason, I have to find out if someone can find out where I live, etc. from my name. Well it is quite common that i have nothing to fear. Does not make me feel that special, though, more of the opposite.

Yes i used to do this sometimes. I do not like to share much personal information online about myself. Some people who do not like me that much or are just willing to get to know about people might tend to look up info about me and i do not like that.

I only did it once, and I found out that there are many other people with the same full name as me. Even better, some of them are females.

I got to try this when I saw your discussion and yep I was kind of amazed that my name popped up. Only my facebook though and surprisingly a friend's facebook account where my name is placed as one of her friends. But why her? Why not the rest of my friends whose FB's also had my name on theirs? Anyway, I did it out of curiosity and vanity's sake
