Hi, tess_quinain. Being a student has its disadvantages I would have to say.. But, I think that one can have many responsibilities as another young person would. Classwork and getting up on time for school has its disadvantages too. This can be a strain, especially if you are not used to the change. Paying bills is great when staying on campus.

It is not all that great being a student, especially when you don't have any financial support from other family members.. You will have to do it all on your own, which can be a big struggle.

Not everyone has this experience. When I was a student I was working three jobs to be able to go to the small community college, have food, and a place to sleep indoors. Not everyone is lucky enough to have parents that are willing to help with education and basic survival. I am still attempting to get my degree, and I will, by myself. My best friend lives with me and she's going to school and taking care of her child. We don't get any assistance from our parents. Getting through the classes when you just got off of a 12-hour shift is not fun. I would love to be the student you've described, just have an education handed to me, but not everyone falls into that category. I'm sure it was meant as a joke but I find it offensive.

Oops, mistook what you were saying. You were talking about the way your life was when you were in school. How long have you been out in the world?

My parents never had money for college. And, after getting injured in the Army so I could go to college, they didn't give me money then either. College was worse than the Army. So glad I dropped out of that crap hole.

True that everyone wish to be a student forever. But when we were students, people think when they can grow as elders. Its all common humman psycology. AS said there are no worries and commitments when are students. But then there are lot of things to be learn as we grow up. So accept the nature and love to live in the current momenet and enjoy every second. Be happy always and no worries.

I wish I had these privileges too, for I'm still a student. Life out there doesn't seem so easy but it's life after all.
