Microsoft Excel already has a function named CONVERT that will offer a vast selection of conversion factors. To add this function you would need to activate the Analysis Toolpack from the Tools menu by simply selecting it.
You simply need to use a formula such as =CONVERT(564,"m","ft") to convert metres to feet as an example. Of course you can also use a cell reference instead of a number.
