I want to teach my dog a new trick!

Have you ever seen the trick where the owner says, "BANG!" and points their finger like a gun at their dog...the dog then responds by rolling on the ground and "playing" dead? I want to teach my dog this trick! He is going to be six years old this summer - I can't believe it! My husband and I adopted him from the shelter two years ago come this July, and we've already been successful in teaching him to sit, stay, lie down, shake, and a few more tricks like that. (He can also howl! I think it's because he's part Husky. It's really neat.) He's a very good dog and a fast learner, but I'm wondering how we can train him to do this trick. I know they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but as far as I'm concerned, he's been an "old" dog since we got him...he was full-grown and at least four years old when we adopted him! How do you teach your pet tricks? What have you taught them? Thanks in advance for sharing!
