What's with the BlackBerry hype?!

What is with the BlackBerry hype these days?! I do not understand why many people admire, and are absolutely addicted to their blackberrys. Although they can be used as calendars, alarm clocks, calculators, and many other things, they cost an additional 30$ a month in addition to your phone plan! Thats an extra 360$ dollars a year! Why not settle for another phone, in which most phones are capable of doing everything a blackberry can do, including internet access, and save the 360$ dollars. That money can be put into savings, or put towards other nice things! A phone that costs an additional 30$ a month on top of the original phone price, and plan is not necessary in my opinion, especially when other phones can do basically the same exact thing as the BlackBerry. Do you agree?

I hate the Blackberry phones, my little brother has one and thinks he is so cool, but I think they are awful, mainly becaise the keypad is way too small for my hands to use!
Give me a Nokia phone and I will be more than happy.

personally i like blackberry's phones as many people but surely if you are not careful you will spend much more!!
So you must think that blackberry firstly was created as a business phone and not for consumers..only in a second time blackberry were popolar even for private!!I think if you use a blackberry for business is the best palm-phone you can choose because is like a little office in your pocket considering also that if you work in a factory where the blackberry enterprise service is active you can really gain all potentials from this phone as regards business appls,super push emails and many other instruments fro productivity!!Surely i guess that you meant for private use so in many cases the internet service,the bis,is expensive but you must think that you haven't limitations on the contrary many services dedicated to other phones generally control and limit your activity in fact they exclude to use some internet protocols as voip,peer-to peer, and some other famous ones!!So it depends from different carriers as regards blackberry..in fact in my country blackberry plans are really expensive and so normally not really used for private!!

yes, I agree with you. people now enjoy using a BlackBerry. but I think they just follow the trend only. other than that they feel proud of using a BlackBerry. and most of them because of their prestige. they feel if it has been using a BlackBerry, including certain levels. can be said, fall into the category of the rich.

I have used a blackberry pearl, and I only used it for a short time, as I thought it was a good phone, but I just couldn't do with it what I thought I could. I could use it for the internet, but I certainly didn't like the browser that was installed on the blackberry. It is just a mediocre one at that, and doesn't have flash and I really couldn't do all that with it. My son has the blackberry storm, and he uses it for his business to check his email and his website. It is a nice looking phone, but I wouldn't really want it. I bought a new cell phone last month, and it is the samsung omnia 11, and it is just like having a computer in my hand, as it does almost everything my laptop can do. I can access mylot with it and post which I have done, and that is one of the reasons I bought it. It is a windows mobile 6.5 phone, with lots of programs and features.
