few days ago, i was at the postal office to send via express mail service a registration form for netherlands, pertaining to my pop's authorization given to his mom to vote on his behalf. here in the philippines, when people work abroad, they can exercise absentee voting. just curious with the type of voting you have in your country. please share. thanks! :)

hi cherrc I am in the US and a lot of people particularly older people vote by abentee ballot. I have been doing that since my leg had bothered me so in walking long distances to the polling places so I will vote absentee ballot this year also. its really great for anyone who has a partial disability.the one year I did not vote this way I ended up not voting as the polling place for us was about twentyfive blocks and I was just unable to walk that far and get there before the polls closed. so from then on back to the absentee ballot so I would not miss out casting my vote. there were people who claimed they would give you a ride to the pollingplace but they never arrived to pick me up that daY.

hey hatley! sorry, for late reply. things got pretty tied up. it's a good thing now that they come up with a plan on how you can participate with the election. so, how do they do that? you mean you still vote on your own wherein the commission will go nearer to your place than the officially designated one or someone will represent you for voting? because here we call absentee voting specifically pertaining to our citizens who work abroad. a representative from our country will take charge of the election that will be conducted abroad. but we don't exercise voting by proxy here or voting by representation. thank you so much for the comment. truly appreciate it. take care. :)
