Do you still send the regular postal letters?

Though the modern gadgets have reduced the distance drastically, some people still feel comfortable with their traditional things. One of them is postal mails. Sometimes, I too feel something is missing with the modern communications. For example, reading a letter again and again gives a little pleasure sometimes. (May sound silly, but you will agree I hope) Letters by post, do you send to any? (invitations don't count)

Yes. You are correct. In writing you can see the handwriting and also more information can be added.I used to preserve the letters received through postal mails. Now, through e-mail, the communication is very fast and we have done away with the postal mails. Some feelings of care and affection is missing. In the present day who respect elders, only very few people still follow the tradition. I do not send mails by post as I use cell phone or e-mail for communications. Happy myLotting.

Today the email already replaced the snail mail for me. I don't send a mail unless I want to send a package. Otherwise the email is good enough to communicate with each other. It is fast and it won't cost any charges. I love China

With the advent of high-tech communication gadgets, I don't send postal letters anymore. I guess i don't have the time nowadays to buy a special paper, write a few paragraphs on it, lick to seal it then dress-up to drop it off to the nearest postal office. Just like most people I am now so used to the convenience of sitting in front of the computer or using the cellphone to send a message with just one press of a button. Maybe though, on very rare occasions, I'll do the effort of sending birthday cards to loved-ones abroad to make them feel special.

I do sometimes do the snail mail with the letters/christmas cards sent to my close friends and relatives abroad. It's still better to give print out pictures for souvenirs!

i didn't send the postal letters, because there is very less need of that. mostly we used postal letters wen sumtimes we have 2 send cards, or forms,or any documents. other than that all are used by electronic gadgets like mobiles, internet etc... today sending letters are far far away from peoples , for that msgs and mails are there.you are write reading letters giving pleasure, but as u see people are busy in their life, business, profession, who has time to write all this letters, usually they use mails while working in offices. so time has totally changed now. but i do like writing letters. as i still have many letters of my friends, brothers.

The last letter I wrote was sort of a therapy. It was a letter to my mom, telling her everything I ever wanted to tell her, how I missed her. Then I was told to burn the letter. I keep in contact with everybody by email now.

Hi, venkataraman. Yes, I still send letters by regular mail. I only do so when I need to. I may send letters about eight times in a year. But, I used to send them much frequently when I was enrolled into Bible Correspondence Courses.

The only postal mail I have is certain medical bills, although I guess I could pay those bills via the phone.

Yes, I still do. Since my fiance and I are continents away from each other, and he doesn't have regular access to the internet, we write each other love letters every month, sent via post. Since we both like drawing, we usually draw on our letters, like for example, a scene of me and him, how we imagine ourselves dating, or sitting at the beach and watching the sunset, etc. It's sweeter and exciting.

No, I don't use snail mail anymore and I hate the people who still use it today for commercial purposes. As I live in a flat, letters don't get past the lobby, (the mail workers are too lazy to deliver to your door anymore) and there are only bills anyway. But just once in a while, there's a notice of an undelivered registered mail. So I have to take time off work and walk to the post office to collect it. That's really annoying! And You know it's rubbish because none of your friends are ever going to send you registered letters. Have you seen a post office recently? They are busy! You have to wait in a queue. What do they do these days, apart from delivering mail? I'm very confused.
