Mdaughter's cat is pregnant right now and just this morning she bit her finger while she is simply writing on the table, and last night while I am walking she bit my toe too and scratch my legs. She is always running around the house without any reason at all. She eats well and drinks milk a lot but she always look so angry into something that we can't figure out. What do you think is wrong with our cat? What's the best thing to do?

My cat sometimes would have the same reactions too when she was pregnant. From my experience, a female cat is very overprotective of herself especially during pregnancy. Besides that she may protect her kittens that growing inside her. Uncomfortable might be another cause why she acts that way. Just give her space when she needs and attention when she asks for it:)

Cats get hormonal too - lol. As the pregnancy progresses, your cat will feel slower and more uncomfortable and perhaps this is her way of letting you know that she's getting tired and almost ready to have her kittens. I would suggest you make sure she has somewhere quiet and sheltered so she can prepare for the birth.

Has anyone ever told you that although cats love milk they should not have it becasue it will give them diareha? Some cats tolerate it well, others don't. I had one that could drink it without problems and another that we did not dare give her more then 1/4 cup a day, and sometimes that was to much. If it is getting time for her to give birth and this is her first litter then she may be 'running scared'. Does she have a 'quiet room'dark and a space made for her babys? If not, I would find her one and help her to 'nest'. If this doesn't help, then maybe a vet trip would be helpful. I had a cat for 20 years and when she had baby's she gave a loud birth announcement with each kitten. It was quite the "HOWL"! (I had a friend staying here and I was gone one time when she had kittens. My friend had never been around a cat and 'bobby' was extreme with her 'birth announcements', scared my friend very much.) The last litter that she had, she had trouble and I had to take her to the vet, she had a uterus infection so she was 'fixed' and no more kittens.

hey egonzales..i'm a cat lover an have had cats and kittens living with me from the time i can remember..ok so what i think is wrong with your cat is that she just needs some attention. so don't worry, you cat hasnt gone mad. its just that cats like humans need attention and some tender loving care especially now that she's prgnant, she's restless and that explains her behaviour of nipping you and your daughter and her roaming around the house so much. when my cat was pregnant, she used to follow me whenever i went and used to catch my leg with her paws as i passed her by. that was a sign to me that she's about to conceive and so i used to make a makeshift bed for her in one of the closets, she could open the door herslf and go in and out as she pleased, and when the time came, she gave birth there.so you see its just that the cat needs attention adn is reastless so you need to calm her. try petting her and being with her , make sure hse gets enough to eat so she should be fine once she delivers. hope this helps you. let me know how it goes. good luck

I think your cat is angry that you didn't spay her. I've known a few female cats that just HATE to be pregnant and they take it out on EVERYONE while they are pregnant. Then, they are so-so parents and need to be spayed as soon as the kittens are weaned.

How far along is she? It could be coming to time for her to deliver and she is extremely uncomfortable. Of course if she is anything like me, I hated being pregnant too. I got so upset with my then husband that I dumped a bowl of spaghetti over his stupid head. I wasn't a nice person when I was pregnant, and that is part of the reason why I went in and got "spayed" in the human sense. (Much the the male population's relief!)

My cat bites me when he is bored and wants to play. It really isn't a bite, more like a nibble. When he does that I get a wire (his toy) and run around the house while he chases it. Sometimes we play tag, were I chase him around the house and he runs and hides. When he's tired of that he will come to me and meows for me to pet him. I think maybe your cat is bored and needs to play to release some energy. Oh and yes, my cat runs around the house as well. Hope this helps.
