ive heard stories.. even knew someone even. she was a normal healthy size 10 woman. on thanksgiving went to the hospital thinking she had food poisoning.. gave birth instead. no signs, no symptoms, nothing. thebaby was normal size, perfectly healthy. so im very curious.. there are literally thousands in this category alone here on the Lot. have any of you ever experienced this? have you ever known someone who did? what were the circumstances surrounding it? how common does something like this happen?

I don't know about her not knowing she's pregnant due to missed menstrual flow, belly expanding, nausea, morning sickness. I doubt. But I did know of an acquaintance who swore that she was pregnant and nobody noticed. Nobody even noticed that she gave birth. They only noticed when she showed them her baby. Hehehe.. It's true. She was still in college. Though she was a bit chubby. She got pregnant, and didn't want the fuss about people noticing. So she'd wear unrevealing clothes, did her thing and after 9months, went to the hospital on a weekend, gave birth, and was back in school by Monday. Nobody noticed. She told me that when you want your pregnancy to be secret (specially if it's your first) the baby would cooperate and not be fussy. I don't know if any of that is true though. But that story of yours bout her not noticing at all? What did the baby do in there? remained still the whole 9 months?

This is one thing I will never understand as long as I live. How on earth can a women go through nine months of pregnancy and not know it. I remember we were all gathered at a get together at my mom's house. My cousin was there and I noticed that she appeared pregnant. Since nothing was said to me I didn't say anything. When I got home that night I called my mom and said so-so looks pregnant did you notice? She said No and that her sister would have told her if she was. Well low and behold a couple of days later guess who is having a baby. That is right my cousin is having a baby and know one supposely knew about it. Till this day I don't understand it. With all the symptoms of pregnancy how can anyone go 9 months not knowing?

the girl i knew didnt have any symptoms at all. still got all her periods regularly as always.. no change at all. and she was a small woman.. not like 450 pounds or anything where you wouldnt notice a pregnant tummy. just a normal healthy 135 pound woman. with my first child.. i didnt show barely at all till the very very end. with my second i still had my periods as normal. i didnt have morning sickness at all with either of them.. and other symptoms were minimal, if at all. but i still felt them bouncing around in there lol

Really??? Is that true tessah? She still have her regular monthly period??? Wow that is actually weird to me... So is there any expert's explanations for that? How come she was menstrating still? Actually, my first sign of pregnancy is when I missed my period... I am regular and the only time I missed it was when I was pregnant -- and that happened twice...

This is something that absolutely baffles me, given the fact that I knew I was pregnant from around the 6th week! I mean I know it happens but I just do not understand how someone cannot know, especially when I think of my own pregnancies and how utterly ill I felt! Unless it was because I knew I was pregnant, if I did not know maybe they would not have been so bad, although with my daughter I ended up the size of a small whale through too much water so I could not have possibly known I was not pregnant haha.

Personally, I don't know how someone could NOT know they are pregnant. At the very least they KNOW something is different in their body. The only person I could see NOT realizing it, is someone who just didn't want to know and was IGNORING their body signals. I mean, weight gain, gotta pee more often, no period, basic stuff that tells ya something is different, ya know. When I got pregnant the first time, I knew something was different in my body right away. And I gained lots of weight, I went to 180 lbs! And I still have the stretch marks to prove it, too. I tried Vitamin E oil and rubbed it on my growing belly every night religiously, to no avail. *sigh*

I have heard the stories as well, but am perplexed as to how someone could not know! I just had my first child last September. I had to pee all the time, had morning sickness all the way throughout my pregnancy. Also had severe swelling, weight gain, you know, all the common indicators. I really don't see how anyone couldn't know.

ive had two daughters myself and i agree with you. with my first i didnt show very much (only gained 26 pounds and still wore normal clothes right up till 8 months) and breezed thru it relatively easilly until the very end when i got uncomfortable. but the stretch marks? good loooord!! with my second.. i felt great, but still had my periods all the way thru the pregnancy. with her i got HUMONGUS tho! gained more than 50 pounds and there was no mistaking i was pregnant at all lol (no stretch marks that tome tho, surprisingly) she was also over a month late too.. which might explain the size i got to. .

Hi tessah! Actually an afficemate of mine before was pregnant and she did not know about it too... She just felt something unusuall on her 8th month already... She did not know actually, she felt really sick that time and decided to have a check up... She was very surprise to know that she was 8th months pregnant already... She is not healthy - not fat at all... in fact she is our receptionist... She is not short- she have height... Her uniform still fits her... We are all surprise and can't actually think that she was really pregnant. It was not her first baby - third child actually... She said she is irregular and it is really normal for her to have no menstration for that long period... Coz I straightly ask her, why in the world she did not even notice any signs.... what about the menstration??? And that was her answer to me... I was actually concern to the baby coz, pregnant women needs extra care, extra vitamins and nutrition for the baby... and she did not have any of that... The baby is a bit small actually but thanks God the baby is healthy...

Hi, i don't understand either. I am currently pregnant with my first and i didn't have the usual nausea and stuff like that when i was on my first 3 months and people would usually mistook my tummy as fat since i am a bit chubby not later on my second trimester that it is really showing off. What i don't understand is that how she would have missed it when the baby would do all the kicks and the jabs inside telling the mom that he/she exist. Unless she mistook it as worms. LOL. it is really hard to miss it..

Yes I agree with you kenchiprincess... The symtoms might not visible to others... but those baby kicking and streching is hard to get unnoticed... Worms??? You have humor but you have a good point.
