A man was sentenced to 15 years in jail for trying to break into a prison in Florida United States the funniest thing about his attempt is that he was released from prison just a week following an appeal on manslaughter charge. When asked the reason for his attitude he said he is afraid the members of the family of his victim would go for revenge so he begged to be remanded in custody. It’s surprising to read this in a world when people are yearning to have freedom

The man was guilty of man slaughter so he was afraid of what the members of the family of his victims would do to him. Maybe he has spent so long in jail it was kind of like his home. I think that sounds very strange indeed. I can't imagine anyone trying to brake into a jail. Usually criminals are hoping to get freedom as soon as possible. If a criminal is removed from jail I think he wants to stay on the outside. He might move away from the victims family in most cases I think.

I certainly get the point of your opinion although this story doesn't surprise me because sometimes jail is the place to be for some. They get accustomed to that lifestyle. As for this fellow who wanted to break into the prison so to be safe from the family of the victim does seem strange but at the same time, I can ujnderstand the reasoning. He did get what he was after in the end, didn't he? I don't know why he just didn't leave to set up and reside in a completely different community but again, some people are most comfortable with what they know and for some that is the housing of a jail. Cheap rent anyway. Often times too with the ease of acquiring what they need because the square footage is much smaller in jail than it is out on the street of a community.

hi byola I can imagine maybe he really was threatened by some of the members of the family of the person he hurt. so he felt that he would be safer back in prison. sad but maybe he should not have been let out.odd really but perhaps he knew what he was doing.
