When was the last time you got a ticket?

The last speeding ticket I got was about 9 years ago. I didn't even realize I was speeding. I was doing 44 in a 35 mile an hour zone. I thought the speed limit was 40. Before that it had been like 12 years since I had gotten a ticket. I was so angry that I was not given a warning as obviously I am not a speedster. So when was the last time you got a ticket? Were you angry about it or did you know you deserved it?

My husband got a speeding ticket a few weeks ago when we were going to an Easter party. We were driving from our home to the town where my mother-in-law lives when we got caught. My husband was very angry about the situation and he was afraid of losing his driving licence, because the rules are quite strict in my country. But he was lucky, we had to pay about $180, but he was allowed to keep his driving licence. We were both really relieved, because it would be really hard to live in the countryside without a car, My husband has learned his lesson, and he is no longer speeding.

I'm glad they did not take his license. I believe here you get three chances in a certain amount of time before you lose your license.

It was probably about 6-7 years ago and yes I was angry, more at my son than the officer. He had bought a car before getting his temps, so I had to drive him around, to work and friends. It was his car, and I had no job, so it was his responsibility to have the speedometer fixed. One time on the way back from picking him up from his friends house, I was speeding, can't remember how fast, but since he was with me, he was very quiet because he knew I was angry.. Fortunately it wasn't long after that he got his temps, and moved out. Then he got his license..

I have never had a speeding ticket, lucky, I guess. I have had a couple of warnings. Once my speedometer was broken, or my cruise control or something, so I just got warnings, and once when I was about twenty I had a really funny story, or so the cop thought and just gave me a warning. I have been a professional driver and could not risk my livelihood getting caught and getting tickets.

Understandable. Unfortunately I didn't realize I was doing anything wrong, until he pulled me over. That spot was by my mom's house and had always been 40 mph. They had obviously lowered it probably to catch people like me.

I can say that i have never been caught for speeding, i have speeded in the past a few times, but i try not to speed as i do not like the thought of paying a speeding fine aswell as getting marks on my driving licence. They never give warnings much nowadays no matter how many years you have been driving for.

You're right they almost never give warnings any more. It is kind of upsetting. Tickets are really expensive these days too. My husband gets one every couple of years. It makes me so mad because the cost is very high.
