Forgetfullness is no excuse

A husband went on a day trip to france –forgetting he had left his mother-in-law waiting in the ferry car park at Dover in England.
The man and his wife dropped their vehicle off in a long stay car park in Dover but the couple ,who were treating their relative to a cross-channel day trip forgot all about her and left her in the back of the car.The embarrassed couple caught the next ship back to Britain to pick up the abandoned woman who mis in her 70”s when they suddenly realized what had happened ,of course she gave them hell when they arrived,if it were you what would you do?

byola If it were me it would not have happened at I loved my mom and my hubby was very careful to include her in a lot of our trips and stuff so we would never have left her. but if we had done such a stupid thine we would try to make it up to her by taking her on another trip she wanted 
to see.

Oh that was awful. It was not a thing but a person and a mother-in-law at that. I can imagine how hell was for the couple who forgot. I would feel bad too if somebody forgot me like that. 
I can sense they were not in perfect terms that is why it happened.

Hello Byola2871,
This is a sad. The poor lady she had to been scared or mad one of the two. It jsut leaving without your child etc... The child cannot scold but the old woman could.
I am glad the couple relaise what happen and came back as quickly as they could. They sound like they felt bad about this too. I probaby scold them too but what could either party do. I hope the are still friend and will eventually laugh at this over the years.
