Do you always mark best response ?

I don't always mark best response of my discussions. I feel shaky in judging best response. To me most of the responders are right in their point. So if I give someone best response award it will be injustice for other responders. I mark best response when I find a response is exceptionally interesting. Generally I avoid this rude task. What do you do in this respect?

i think marking the best response is an indication that the discussion or question that you started is already resolved.

Hi caliya, I don't think by marking the best response a subject can be resolved. We can continue a subject by arguing.

Well I am pretty new here and after making a couple of discussions I have the same question. I feel the same way, I don't want to do any injustice to any of the other commenters because I do appreciate their input as well, I don't know if it is "nice" to just give it to someone on every discussion or to only give it out sparingly. Thanks for making a discussion on it!

Hi skyblue, someday you will be old. It's very interesting and charming site. We all are friend here.Though invisible. But I feel from heart that we are very close. Yes it's very difficult to choose the best responder. We have to earn the quality of a teacher. Then it will be easy to mark someone as the best. I hope we will meet again.

Personally I feel it quite important if you can to read thru your discussions and responses people have chosen to give back and choose a Best Response for them as you can. I know there are times when you might feel Nothing is worthy of a Best Response or there should be more than one chosen, so then you might want to not choose for them, but when you choose to give this Honor to someone it helps to keep encouraging them that this is a Great place to be for sure.

I won't call it a rude task but only a difficult one.We have to read through each response very carefully and sometimes it is so difficult to mark hte BR.I normally pick something thta has something exceptional to say and if it has covered somehting the others have not said.Another thing thta makes me BR is thta it should make me laugh.

Giving best response is one way of appreciating the response of one member. Many says that when you give best response or you give a member positive rate,it increases your mylot reputation, which i really don't know if it is true or not.Other members rate responders to increase reputation. With me, before I give my best response, it will take me one week.I will wait first for all the responders then if no one is already responding, i will read all their responses.I don't base my best response on the length of the response but with the content, with the idea and with the help that it can provide.I don't care if it just two to three sentences. If the idea is there,I'll go ahead and mark the responder as best response. Another thing that I would like to add in giving the best response,we should not be bias. There are some instances that other members give best response to their friends here in the site, which i think it is not right and fair.Best response should be given to the responder to exerted an effort to give his /her idea about the topic.

Hi bhanusb, Giving the best response is not a compulsory thing here and a lot of us did not give it even when there is an outstanding response to his or her discussion. It is also up to the discussion started to reward it earlier or latter. No one can argue about it. And as a discussion starter, we have had the privilege to reward it to anybody that we think deserve it. Our points is different with others and others can not argue with our choice. I always try to reward the best response for my discussion. But, the timing of rewarding it is different from one discussion to others. I never feel injustice when I reward someone with the best response because it is my choice. I just do not like to see a lot of unresolved discussion of mine.
