I just don't believe it. Only GOD knows when is the doomsday will be. He might give predicting talent to others but still he is the creator. We overcome the Y2k bug right? so I am sure we will get over this prediction again.

the y2k bug was just an indication of how people are dependent on computers besides there weren't any significant system breakdowns, i myself saw that as the date changed from December 31,1999 to January 1,2000 nothing went wrong with my bro's computer it just simply changed.

You can't say that the world is going to end. It's just the end of a calendar not world. There has been predictions before also about the world would end.It was in the year 2000. But some of them say there are scientific reasons also. Some meteor or comet is going to hit the earth in 2012. I don't know the reality about it. Now many people have started scaming by starting websites about this issue. Just stop all these things and wait and see

according to the scientists there would be a pole shift leading to sudden movement in the poles. that is the north pole will shift and become the south pole and south pole will become the north pole.

I don't believe any of those predictions. The Mayans didn't flat-out say the world would end. That's just how modern people are interpreting their calendar. I don't know what Nostradamus said, but I think it's probably the same for his words. And heck, even if the Mayans DID believe that the world would end in 2012... If I started believing everything extinct societies said, I may as well start worshipping Zeus. He sounds like a cool guy.

thanks for your response. and i too think Zeus is cool. and yes Mayans didn't yell out about the end of the world. it is that their calender was set to end on a particular date. which is believed to be the dooms day.

Basically speaking I do not know what is I-Ching, but I think the world might end. Because there is evidence that the neutrino number is increasing exponentially and the peak intensity might be reached in 2012. There are so many new findings and in a press release yesterday NASA said they have found that the sun is changing colors. So who knows. Lets wait and see.

wh oknows if you read the real info about the mayan calendar is the 21 november, 2012, yet they dont anounce the end of the world but the end of an era, that is something quiet different. so lets see, but I have to think that every time i hear about those weird natural disasters now the first thing i remember is the 2012 thing... who knows is also fault of the news that make a big mess of those stuffs that have been passing during the whole life and the humanity had only make it worst with his progress.

Mayans didn't predict the end of the world. That was just only how far their calender went. If their culture was still around, they would probably start a new calender then.
