children tend to choose foods that they want to eat. sometimes the child spends most of his time at dinner, not because the taste of food, but they wanted a preferred food. how do you deal with children like this? whether you will offer food that they like so they want to eat, although food is far from healthy and rich in nutrients?

Let the child vote for the food. If he wins his election or selection for his choice of food then he might not be troubling the mother. Children are fussy eaters and give them what they wish.

If you had picky eater children at home, so you must be really creative my dear friend. Forcing that child to eat won't work. I thing there is time when we child we are picky eater. The most thing we hate most when we child is vegetable and my mom usually so creative to make us eating it. My mom usually make carrot to be cake or make fried vegetable like fried chicken.

kids are really very choosy on the food they eat. we do not force them to eat what they don't. most of the time, they win the elections. i would rather give them what they want to eat cause they eat more than when you give them they do not like. Neil

you better get children to familiar foods like broccoli and carrots or other vegetables. instead of cookies and brownies. you can make vegetables such as good character in a fairy tale, you tell before the children slept. while the cake as an evil figure. good luck

dear indahfth, most children especially from ages 3-12, they are very stubborn and would rather prefer the food of their choice not because it is healthy but because to their palate, it tastes better. children have to be introduced while growing up to healthy food. although i guess it is just okay to give them what they crave ones in a while. but you have to help it out with supplements and vitamins lacking in the food that they eat. and even if they are big already, always give them milk. have a nice day. ann

you have to apply to form healthy eating habits by offering healthy food choices from an early age children. for that you should experiment with different kinds of food cooked. to cook a variety of foods, your child will not be bored, make food interesting when presented, so that your child interested in eating.

My daughter Naomi is very picky. I try to serve a combination of foods she likes and healthy foods. And she has to eat at least a few bites of the healthy food whether she likes it or not. And then I listen to her whine. :-)

If children are given the opportunity of eating whatever they want then they will learn that behaviour. But, if they are taught to eat healthy then they will carry these behvior on into their lives. We have to be their role models and show them the right way. They should be in your debt for a long and healthy life.

Right now my son wants to eat only meals with rice and spinach. This is from maybe 2 months. I gave it to him, but I know it's healthy in spite of it would be better to eat different kinds of food too. If he wanted something like snacks or waffels I wouldn't give him.
