Is the the IPHONE 3GS Worth it?

There are so many phones available now but Iphones prove to be popluar despite it's higher price. The 3GS boasts being the fastest iphone with so many new applications and features such as 3 megapixels of camera, video control, cut and paste option, digital compass, landscape keyboard, voice memos etc.
Nowadays, we have to be more careful on what to spend on. Money is harder to earn yet, technology is fast changing, needs are changing and there is so many things to spend on.
While it may be a good buy,Is it worth it? Do you have one? Thinking of buying one? Or is it not worth our money?

Hi a2beads.Iam considered this piece as well.As you mention,I was concerned about its worth spending the price tag of this phone.For now,I decided I am not going to need these features.And If we go by necessity,most of these features are not required,may be,it can be a status symbol or something similar.

Yes, i agree it is not really a necessity but having one would be great too! lol Still have to consider other options and what features I really need. Another option to consider are the Nokia E-series. These phones can prove to be really useful and handy specially if your always on the road and you need internet access.

You should try 2 of the phones, one LG Chocolate and the other one is Sony ericsson Vivaz.

It is truly worth it. But you may also wait for the next generation iPhone which would boast very high resolution screen, better camera with flash, larger capacity, faster, front camera, thinner, mostly glass back and front and aluminum sides and buttons. It would be announced sometime in June and would be released on the same month or later.

In my opinion iphone is not a real worth for final consumer!!So iphone is just a trend and a big marketing campaign but you can buy even other phones with similar characteristics and you can save your money as well!!so you must count that normally associated to every iphone there is also an expensive offers from national operators!!so you spend much money for the device and you will spend much money to pay the expensive offer associated with iphone as well!!normally this offer will endure 24 months so it is not a real worth!!

I have never had an iphone nor can I have it, but I do have th ipod touch, which is just like the iphoe. It does have lots of apps on it and that is about the only thing good about it. It doesn't have flash, so websites that have flash won't work, and I think that is a plus as far as I am concerned. I don't know why it doesn't have flash on it, but it doesn't. I am disappointed in the ipod on that score. I do play on it once in awhile, but the battery doesn't stay charged all that long and it has to be charged again. That is the downfall fo it for sure. I think 3G mobiles are good and I have experienced that very recently. I am at Chicago and was looking for prepaid connection, all set to buy new phone but the store person said that my phone will work here. I was so happy to know that. I got the SIM and connected to my family and friend.
3G is good :)

I really concern about the radiation of cell pone.It will affact your heath directly.
My phone is N5700.the exam of radiation is so high that i start to be alittle bit
afraid of my cell phone.Before the exam,i thought my cell phone is great and pefect,it is really conveinent to me.
I am not sure about the radiation of IPHNE.I guess it will be low because of its price.

If you are in India . It is definitely not worthy . As it costs 40,000 rs. compared to 199$ in US . You can find lot more phones in India which are cheaper and better than the iphone 3gs . My neighbour is having that phone and it looks cool. But it is too costly for a buy .

I have the IPhone 3G. And I have mixed feelings about it. From a technical standpoint, it's neat, but, if you've been so used to other phones it takes a little while to get use to. However, I don't like paying extra on my phone bill because of it. It is like an extra 30 dollars for the internet and ten dollars extra for the GPS. And then you have the apps, while they are a nice thing to have, sometimes you have to pay for them too.

ok so my comment to this is yes currently the iphone 3gs is worth the money right now but if you wait the iphone 4g will come out also known as the iphone hd. phones keep getting better and better apple is holding back on us. they say that its their newest idea... but I can almost guarantee you that when they say its their newest ides their meaning its their oldest. I have studding electronics for years and my experience says they are hiding at least 2 more iphones in their that only top executives know about.
