I don't think that you have a choice when it comes to blinking... it's a reflex action. So whether you're thinking about it or not, you're going to blink. But I do think that when you sit in front of your computer for long periods of time, your eyes start to strain and get tired. Then it feels like you haven't been blinking. It's best to take your eyes off your screen every once in a while... go outside and look at something far away... otherwise you can become near-sighted and need glasses to see things far away. Also, from time to time, just close your eyes for a few minutes just to rest them an to allow them to become moist again.

So very true. I have to take a break every now and then so I blink! I have the same problem when I play Tetris on my DSI lite!

I think I blink regularly while on the computer. I have never noticed a problem. LOL Guess I could concentrate and see what happens!

oh he he hi kawalsukhi I was just going why blink your eyes when surfing and am seeing all these dudes on surf boarders blinking wildly but forgot about surfing the net. I have to make myself blink my eyes while my lotting as otherwise I see too many floaters and also my eyes get dry. so i make it a ritual to stop occasionally and blink my eyes for awhile to moisten them and relax them a bit.

Usually I do not blink my eyes but after reading your discussion just closed it and found some pain. Looks like I am tiring my eyes so they need some rest.
