Bedroom window

Summer is here and the sun is evidently shining. My window faces west and the afternoon sun now shines through during the afternoon just when the day is hot. It maybe better if it was facing east so that I can get the first glimpse of sunshine in the morning when the air is cool. Which direction does your bedroom window face? What are the pros and cons? Besides the sunlight, the rain and wind direction is another factor to consider.

This is a very interesting discussion! :) Mine faces east, BUT there is a building blocking my view of the sunrise, and besides, I always wake up late. Sunsets are nice too, because you can look at them and not get much glare as the sunrise would give. I especially love when sunsets paint the neighboring building gold :)

I think a good direction for the bedroom window is facing the sun rises because the morning sun is good for the circulation of room air
