I may be addicted to blogging

I used to read posts where people talked about having 10 or 11 blogs and I would think 'I can't keep up with my one blog, how can they maintain ten?' and then things changed. I went from two blogs last summer that I barely ever posted to to having five of them with more to come. My blogs cover travel, wine, New Orleans, music, and crafting. Future blogs will be on writing, teaching/education/literacy and positive living. Some of them are monitized though they are basically too "young" still to see the return just yet. I just started adding statcounter to be able to track my traffic. I wanted to add a video player for you tube videos but I can't find the link anymore on how to get the code. Does anyone know what I mean? You used to be able to get a code for a player that you could put on your page that would play videos from a selected you tube playlist. I logged in to you tube today to look for the code and the feature doesn't seem to exist anymore :-( I also need to figure out how to create banners I can post to my profile that will link to my various blogs. Any suggestions? Favorite sites? Back to my blog...

I am start a blog just for you. It's called Bloggers Anonymous and you can comment straight from your computer. All uploads will be accepted so you can think you are blogging. This is a great idea!

You are totally hilarious. I can not wait to see what your partner in crime will have to add to this discussion.

Good lord, I hope her English is better than mine. I can't get a full sentence out today without really bad typos.

Are both of you still staying in the same cave? Mommaj, I think you better get the ghosts to disinfect the cave, see what it does to Canellita! Since both of you are catching the blogging bugs, I suggest a few blogs for you to check out. Remember to leave comments using Name/Url option to link back to your articles in Associated Content or Helium. 1. Problogger dot com 2. John Chow dot com 3. Search for Joel Comm from the search engines 4. Lifeofjungle dot com Hope it can cure both of you of the blogging fever and get down to hard work.

Yes, that's so true. Blogging is addictive and it is a continuation to great writings, should you are already on some freelance/article sites. The best part is to link up everything that you have, so that your fan base readers can bookmark them. With that said, I'm thinking of reopening back my dusty blog and start writing again. It's time..

I'm fine, thank you and hope you are doing fine too. Very well said, Canellita. Blogging is free and is a great outlet to let those writing emotions out. We can also monetize 100% for our own benefit, instead of sharing the revenue. A good thought there. And blogging can be done at our own time and place, hassle-free, and you are right; there's no minimum. I'm thinking of reopening my blog once more, it's time I start to blog again.

Hey Zed, how have you been? I decided if I am going to post writing and not really get paid upfront I might as well self publish so I started a blog on Blogger. $ blogs later I do it because I have the freedom to post what I want. I think blogging is a good place for all those thoughts that may not make it someplace else and there's no minimum!

hey that's nice to know. can you please give me links of your blogs. Or at least tell me the names of your blogs. I would also be interested in blogging. I also want to learn from you how to maintain many blogs. How much money do you earn from your blogs. What is the return. Is blogging your only activity. Please do respond. I would really appreciate your quick reply.

I understand you. I have the similar feelings. I had 7 blogs at one time, but to be honest I could not manage them very well due to the time.So now I just focus on one English site and one chinese site to keep blogging. Yesterday I found a new site to promote my blogs and my writing. Also the site will pay me for my work. However it's $25 to get paid, yesterday I just made 15 cents. so I don't know how long I will keep the site.

I think it really takes time to build this stuff up to where you are earning dollars instead of cents per day. I'm determined to see that time come!

Just do it one blog at a time and do it one post at a time. Start with a paragraph a month if you have to. I started a blog last summer and updated it maybe once. Then in January of this year I decided I would post at least one time each month. I am a little slow with one of the blogs but the rest I am making it at least one time per month. You have to start with something easy like news and events in your town or tips for something you are good at doing. Read the blogs of others to get ideas.

I'm not sure I am following what you mean about the cluster and menu. I will have to take a look at your layout. I am basically treating my blogs like columns but blogger has templates that as far as I know are not customizable.

Yeah I know what you mean I have an AC and a Blogger.com blog they are interconnected. I use my blogger.com blog to cover multiple topics in no real order. It is monetized but is also to young to see any real return on it yet. I also am considering adding youtube videos on to it that I create. I believe the feature that you are looking for is called embed it is still there on youtube just below the video there should be a button I believe that you push to do this its says embed on it. Creating banners i would say to download GIMP it is free Open Source and it is just as good if not better than Adobe Photoshop.

I will have to look into GIMP. I guess you can only embed one you tube video at a time now instead of an entire playlist. Thanks for the info.

Blogging is a very fun hobby. I kinda admire people who are able to maintain a large number of blogs at one time. It's impressive that they update them regularly, and still have the time to be quite productive. If you want to make some simple banners, you can use this online banner maker to get the job done in an easy and quick fashion: http://www.bannersketch.com/

Thanks for this info I will check out this link! Maintaining several blogs isn't that hard once everything is in place but now I am learning about all kinds of information to create links and improve search engine placement and that is where the time comes in.
