half full or half empty?

How do you view things in life? When you see a glass filled with 1/2 cup of water, do you say it's half empty or half full? I believe that once you view something negatively, you view other things in a negative light, too. Same goes when you're a positive thinker. I always view the glass half full :) How about you?

Hi, Every thing, person or event has a negative as well as a positive side. If you notice one you can't ignore the other. I believe that we should accept both of them as they compensate each other to form a complete realistic image. When I say that I would accept both of them, I don't mean that we take the negative side as well. I accept both of them as doing otherwise will be equivalent to overlooking the truth. But when it comes to extraction, I only bring out the better, omitting the darker part. I don't deny the existence of darkness but I prefer to stay with the light. Thanks God bless you

I view life just as like saying that the glass is half-full. It indicates positiveness that is a good attitude towards every day's journey. Positive outlook brings positive results.

I try to view the glass as half full. I don't succeed all the time, but I try to view it that way. I would say I succeed about 50% to 70% of the time. I'm trying to up the average.

i've been the half-full type of person but lately i've been on the other side of the picture. i dont know why lately i feel so negative no matter how much i try to be positive and tell myself that things are good and all. i guess my fears are overcoming the positive outlook i have. hopefully this will take a back seat again and that i am back to my optimistic self.

I say it's half empty and must be filled again. :P I think being pessimistic is different from being realistic.

It's half full. I view life like that. We should be concentrating on the brighter side of life. I think that it's also like seeing a dot in a bond paper. Sometimes, we only see the dot but we don't recognize the big white space. It tells us that there are times that we only see our problems but never the blessings that we receive from God. I hope that every person in the world tries to think positively. In that way, maybe, the world could be a better place.

Seeing things in a negative manner tends to lead to giving up before we can see results, and then it confirms our inability which leads to an endless cycle. I believe that there is changes in every single moment and nothing remains constant, so there is no need to be view things negatively. Most of the time, changes can be made by us if we decide to. It is the courage and perseverance that could turn the situation around. Nothing is easy, but as long as one put in efforts and persevere one can see results, just like Mylot.

I am definitely a half full kind of person. Whether it has to do with my offline or online life. Negativity to me is a waste of time.

I always see things both ways I guess. My views changes from time to time, depends on what happened recently. I don't think a person's views on the life is the same all the time, in my opinion, it changes accordingly to recent events in his or her life. Horrific events could change a person and their views will not stay the same through out their lives. A fulfilling, life changing event could change a person for the better and make him or her see things in a positive light but life isn't a fairy tale. I dare not say bad things would happen but when one is too positive ( if there is such a thing), he or she would most probably be disappointed in the end. Conversely, if one is too negative, then he would have already lost from the beginning.

I'm also a half full kind of person. Sometimes to be funny, I say something like: depends on what's in it, and who was drinking it. Eh not to funny, but I make my self laugh and that's important right?
