My friend told me today that there's no truth in life is that true or lies

If your friend is right, then whatever I say will be lies ... and so will be what he/she says. In other words, if your friend says that there is no truth in life, then, by believing him/her, you also accept that what he/she says is not true.
Whether your friend tells the truth or lies, the fact remains that there is truth in life!
