how would you celebrate your birthday? it was my mother's birthday last may 7 and it was only a simple gathering together with her grand daughter and son. it is a practical way like us who have no money to spend for a party. what is important to my mom is the presence her children. she is happy enough and satisfied for a simple dinner together with our family member.. how bout you guys? how would you celebrate your birthday? in your family?

Happy belated birthday to your mom. Seems to me that you guys are very close. That's great. I don't see anything wrong with that. In fact I enjoy such closeness and warmth among family members and people who really care like you and your family. It's not how big or how small birthdays should be celebrated. It's the love that is shared that makes birthdays more meaningful. Your mom must have enjoyed hers. She's lucky to have you and your family. You've touched her. I'm sure you've touched many of myLot friends here as well. Blessings!

thank you.. we love our mom so much. what hse gave for us when we are child until now when we have our own family, what we have now is owe all this things to her. it is easy to give your child a material thing, but to nurture your child to become a better person its really hard. but i really thank God for giving us a good and lovable parents..

A simple Gathering and that is how I have always preferred it, I have never and still am not a Party Person, to be honest I do not even like going out much I prefer to stay in my comfortable Home, I know to some People this sounds boring but to me, well I just like my Home Comfort

well, sometimes i want to stay at home too in order to relax.. every time my friends invited me for some occasion but i neglected it ans better to go home for relax.. that is why when we have our celebration only our family member and close were invited..

For my birthday I'm happy to just spend with my children. If I'm planning a birthday for someone else then I enjoy throwing a party. Doesn't have to be anything big, but a barbeque is always a nice way to celebrate and you can invite people and ask them to bring a dish. Happy mylotting!

every one of us has its own way of celebration.. there are big party, small party or even just only a simple dinner.. what important is we have a good health and its another chapter of our life, asking God for strength for every trials we face..

yah, other want only a family gathering, a simple dinner with family and close friends.. and aside from that it is a practical way to celebrated to lessen your expenses. what important is the celebrity is happy and have a good health..God Bless!

Hi, Cherwin2010. That is the best thing about being a mom. Having unconditional love and being satisfied for even the most smallest things.
I would prefer a simple gathering too. I don't need a big party just to enjoy myself either. Just having my family that I love close to me, is all that I need. I hope that your mom has had a Happy Birthday on May 7, 2010.

yes i know shes happy and you know its a double celebration because of mother's day.. so my sister, brother and i were very busy that time preparing some surprises to make her happy. and were happy too because we say the result, she is very happy and we see it tears of joy in her eyes..

ya, even it not an occasion as long as we are gather together, my whole family it was already a big reunion and feel that it has an occasion even there is none..as we saw our mother face it was very clear and always smiling, while playing with their grandchildren..

I am not into a birthday nash scene. Big parties for me were never a big thing. I prefer a simple gathering of fsmily and friends. Nirthdsys are hard enough to face without torment of a big party.

in a phenomenon just like now which is a crisis is: is it ok to spend birthdays in simple ways.As long as you could celebrate happy together with your family and relatives.There is no need to spend more money for celebtration, but if there is much money, its all for you.but do not force your pocket to spend more.

correct! if not enough money we shouldn't force it to spend for a party, after all we are the one who suffer it to pay our credit. and it can make us to loss our budget for our other expenses.. so we have to spend it wise. you got a point their..

Birthdays were one of the best holidays of the year for a person
I would really want to have a simple celebration with few good people to spend with me, Last March I celebrated my birthday with a cake on the table alone and all my relatives are present with me not because of my birthday but because of the wake of my grandfather. It was the saddest birthday I've ever had.
Anyway, I prefer a simple gathering with my family eating in a restaurant. Being with them and enjoying happy moments is the best present I could ever have in my birthday

Birthdays are good occasion for celebration. A gettogether for all the relatives and friends. I admit it, But I celebrated by daughters birthday in our house with her father and her neighbour and gave the cash for the celebration to disabled person.
We find happiness in it.

so thats great! for our kids sake we do all we can to make them happy. sometimes other think that instead of having a party much prefer for them to give their money to a foundation in order to help other much needed it most.. and because of this we find true happiness and satisfaction.

it means that your family have enough money to spend like that.. well if you have money you can do what ever your desire..you can choose where places you wanna be celebrated for.. but you choose to your home.. maybe your family want it to explore in other places.. good for you..

yap, the most important of the one who celebrated their birthday is the presence of their family, don't matter to them about the gift. even it is too simple celebration as long as the family is complete it is happy and full of fun while having a dinner..

at first I would spend it with my family in as mall social gathering at home during the day, nothing expensive, just balloons, games, family discussions about the family future and plans. If involved in a romantic relationship, the evening would be a perfect time for you to just set out inexpensive flowers, scented candles, soft music, a nice bubble bath, and the most perfect dinner for a romance perfect evening to end your birhday. I don[t think there is anything better than that!

having a party is quite good with some friends and relatives., but this time we need a big amount of money for making the party successfully.. many decorations and its a plan making process to have your party beautiful and happy. and it is very fun and enjoy to have a big party..
