I have loved vegetables all of my life. They are just so delicious and refreshing. I also like you don't like artchokes or mushrooms. I do love brussel sprots, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, broccoli, carrots, peas, corn, stringbeans, pototoes and sweet potatoes. I try to have at least three veggies and three fruits a day because I love them but also to maintain good health.

Im afraid I did not like many things to eat when I was a child. But I started to like themwhen I was around 11 years old and I have´t stopped in over 50 years. Now to cook and veggies add SO MUCH to any dish. Besides, you can make less expensive dishes if you add some veggies. Take care!

Hi Jeanii and welcome to mylot! When I was a child I liked few veggies. I remember I liked string beans, corn on the cob and tomatos. It was much later when I started to like other veggies. Now I love them all and I know many ways of cooking them. I´m eating less meat although I´m not a vegetarian. That way I can have a natural source of vitamins and minerals.

We had a lot of cooked vegetables growing up - but I can't say it was a large variety of them. My mom cooked them pretty much the same every time, so it was probably more that I got bored with them. Being older and having my own kids, I so appreciate vegetables much more than I did when I was a kid. And I try to keep a variety in our menu so we don't get tired of the same ol' thing. Currently I have an appreciation for RAW vegetables - crunch crunch and yum! Oh - I do like artichokes and mushrooms - haven't really tried brussel sprouts believe it or not!

My parents tell me that when I was a toddler, pretty young, that I liked vegetables. Then when I got a bit older I HATED them. It wasn't until I became an adult that I started eating vegetables on my own again. There's still that I don't like. But I've learned to expand my palate and learned how to prepare veggies in ways that make them yummier to me.

No,absolutely not.. I used to hate all kinds of vegetables except tomatoes and potatoes.I was not at all a vegetable lover and I often get scolded from my mom for not eating vegetables. But now,I like most of the vegetables except brinjal.

We lived on a farm with a large garden. We ate a lot of vegetables and canned many. I had not tried brussel sprouts until this winter, when i bought a bag of frozen sprouts and put 2-3 in my soup. It was good, like a small amount of cabbage for just a little different taste. I do not like green fried tomatoes, but i do like fried summer squash.
