Do you talk to people who reply to your subjects?

Lately I have noticed a pattern. I get more replies if I don't say anything back to the people who post on my topics. I don't know if its because my two favorite subjects are politics and religion and people feel intimidated that they might have to explain themselves or what. Am I really that intimidating...LOL. I like to discuss things and ideas I don't like to get into full blown arguments over subjects but I like to get my ideas out there also. It seems as if maybe I am too pushy of people just had rather reply to someone who doesn't reply back. What do you think? Am I overly obnoxious or is it just touchy subjects that most people shy away from?

do you mean, you get more responses if you don't comment back to responses you get. as if you let others response, keep them coming and talking about your topic, without you interacting with them? i would agree with zandi, these two topics you specialize are just some of the topics and interests that people usually keep away as they need a lot of thinking. what more with the members that English is just their second language, just like me.

You specialize in these two subjects that most often are bypassed not only they are sensitive in nature but also needs to exert the thinking mind to respond. Deep thinking is not everybody's cup of coffee. Not getting many replies is understandable as it is often the case here where deep discussions are being avoided like they are being infected with virus.
