Should flirting be considered cheating?

It depends who the person is flirting with and how they are flirting. There is more than one way to flirt and some ways are really just inappropriate for someone who is already in a relationship with someone else. For me personally, I know I would be very bothered by the person I was dating flirting with someone else.

I think i would have to clarify what i mean about flirting. Flirting to me is just having a casual conversation with a girl and maybe smiling or laughing, but of course not holding hands or touching etc., those would clearly be inappropriate.

I think people take flirting to seriously. I mean think about it. If your in a barbershop and happen to see a cute girl and she ask you to pass her a pen and she smiles and you smile back, you guys have a ten minute conversation and never see her again; how can that be cheating and which part???? people over do it sometimes.

I think you have a point here because flirting is not something so bad to be considered cheating however I would be upset too if my boyfriend does this so in order to do not let it happen I prefer to do not do this. It will mean that you are interested in someone else while flirting with the person.

You're right. It's not cheating. But it probably made her angry that's why she quickly dismissed it as cheating. Sometimes people are like that. They do snap judgement when they're angry.

I would consider flirting as a cheating. I mean it simply shows poor character. One who truly loves his woman will not even think of looking at other women. Flirting to me is normal only if you are using it to win someone's affection. I think this line I said made it clear that there is a purpose of flirting. Yes, its true that some people do it for time pass, but again it is a way to woo women. For singles it is okay do it. But if people with relationship status do it then I have to conclude that they are not happily in love.

Then you are simply not flirting at all. Flirting involves complementing, romantic teasing and so on. Perhaps, your wife just do not like when you talk to women. It could be that it makes her jealous.

I think flirting is a mild form of cheating. What you think and what you say come from somewhere and it means that you might have really thought about what you say or do that results into the act of flirting. When flirting, there will always be that certain kind of tension that builds up as you go along and such tension can be harmful and result to cheating on your partner.

hi hulaboy it may not be considered cheating but yet its not very kind to ones wife, when my husband did that I felt ugly and second best, this is
not the way one wants to feel, but when a man spends all his time ogling other women what is a wife supposed to think? I think its a form of cheating yes it upsets your partner and that is unkind.
